Any used Philips LED replacement for T8/T12s from Home Depot?

Mine are fantastic! Great light output for my garage and laundry room. I went with them only because they are so easy to just clip right in. It seems silly to buy a ballast to run led bulbs that don't need a ballast, so if it comes down to buying a new ballast just to run led bulbs you are...

The 10-Cylinder Garage - 25x31 Overhaul in AZ

Yeah I absolutely love that region. It's just so cool, laid back, and refreshing. 75 Mits? Wow. Classic Japanese cars are very cool and very rare, that was a time before they were massively popupar and plentiful here in the US. Good find! I made them stick out purely for convenience, and to...

    Hot Arizona Garages

I agree on the evap-cooler subject. They are great when its dry here, but the humidity spikes around early July and they become ineffective. Also, humidity in the proximity of your precious tools that can rust isn't a good idea either. The mini-split systems have some pretty insane EER...

    Hot Arizona Garages

+1. This is what I do too. It's like taking a hot hunk of steel from a furnace and putting it in the freezer. All that stored energy has to flow out of the garage through the A/C in the form of heat. Best to let the car cool outside and bring it in after dark if you want to.

    My new Phoenix garage/shop build

Wow! Really nice build. I'm jealous. I often wonder if I would have been better off with a scratch build than the fixer-upper I have now. Would you do the scratch build process all over again?

The 10-Cylinder Garage - 25x31 Overhaul in AZ

Re: 25x31 Overhaul in AZ Well, it's been a while. I haven't made as much progress as I would like, but then again my standards are impossibly high. Just not enough hours in the day I guess. Since February I have laid almost all of the tile, maybe 15 tiles left now. I have finished off the...

    Hot Arizona Garages

In AZ too here. Recently overhauled my garage, R-38 roof(plus 1" polyiso foam roof with white reflective elastomeric coating) and R-18 walls, sealed up nice and tight. Recently insulated the garage door too with some polystyrene panels, estimated about R-5 for the whole assembly. I have a 10k...

New attached 32x34 in East Mesa, AZ

Wow! Over in Tempe here, looking great! I'm jealous, that's some fine work you are doing there. Nothing like a nice new correctly built structure! Sorry about your luck on the flip. Our house was flipped and has the same paint color and kitchen! Coincidence????

    Rockuf8's 15' 5"W x 21' L Garage Reno

I love the color scheme. Very cool and different. Your attention to detail makes it all work. I second the idea for some nice bright LED lighting under the cabinet.

    25' x 25' blank canvas

Wow this looks really neat. I love your idea for the wall system. The biggest advantage I see is being able to access the inside of the wall later on if you want to reconfigure electrical etc. Cool!

The 10-Cylinder Garage - 25x31 Overhaul in AZ

Re: 25x31 Overhaul in AZ Not much to report at the moment. Just started laying tile yesterday. At this rate I should be done in about 40 hours :shocking::shocking::shocking: I could never make a living as a tile guy that's for sure. Major respect to anyone who does it for a living! There were...

The 10-Cylinder Garage - 25x31 Overhaul in AZ

Re: 25x31 Overhaul in AZ Thanks! It is an R-Design, lots of work went into that already! Audio system full gut and upgrade, and simple tasteful speed mods of course. Dubber, your single space was one of the first I ever saw that opened my mind to a garage with cabinets and flooring and things...

The 10-Cylinder Garage - 25x31 Overhaul in AZ

Re: 25x31 Overhaul in AZ Next, I switched to working on the concrete floor in preparation for laying the tile. I rented a concrete dust extractor from Home Depot(very happy with their tool rental dept) My trusty 9" Dewalt. I also have a 7" DW, a 4" DW, and a 4" Makita for the various...

The 10-Cylinder Garage - 25x31 Overhaul in AZ

Re: 25x31 Overhaul in AZ New years day 2015, found me with the urge to install more lighting in the garage. I went with four 4 ft T8 fixtures, plus an 8 ft T12 in the center that was already there. I got a great deal on LED T8 bulbs from 1000bulbs.com. They are 2200 lumens, 83CRI and 18W. I...

The 10-Cylinder Garage - 25x31 Overhaul in AZ

Re: 25x31 Overhaul in AZ More roofing adventures! So, in this picture you can see the overhang above the garage door, when we removed the sheathing, we observed there were NO lookouts, so the overhang was entirely supported by the sheathing! Awesome! We began by adding lookouts: In this...

The 10-Cylinder Garage - 25x31 Overhaul in AZ

Re: 25x31 Overhaul in AZ This marks the beginning of a very ambitious project. I will be repairing the roof structure and extending the roof so that the water will no longer run down the walls. Date: Nov-Dec 2014 Some of the existing damage inside the garage, ceiling: Wall: Ceiling, this...
