What should I do to my shop MDF counters to finish them?

I've had MDF tops on my two wood working benches for about 18 years. I treat them every few years with linseed oil. It does a fairly good job at protecting the surface and doesn't transfer to my wood projects. When I need to do something really dirty, I put down some rubber mats.

All the Black Friday stuff at Home Depot has been marked down..

Just picked up the grinder for $15. I figure the wheels and led sheilds are worth that if I part it out down the road. If it's really bad I'll just return it.

    Menards Clearance Router Bits YMMV

Even better deal when you throw them in the 14% Bag. I bought a few the other night at the Toledo store. They only problem is they have hundreds just thrown in a big box in the clearance isle. Makes it kind of hard to find what you need.

    Parking Aid Recommendations

I just lay a short piece of 2x4 on the floor where it needs to stop. Same principle as the mat. Mark the floor where it goes so that it can be moved and replaced when needed.

Wirewheeling bolts-- tips to keep them from flying?

    Possible Cman Tool Chest Modification

I put all my battery operated tools in that drawer. I think I fit in about 7 (drills, router, sander, jigsaw, etc.) It's a little clunky to get some out when the one you need is at the bottom, but it's not like I use them everyday and it was a good use for that size drawer.

    Suggestions for cutting fiberglass bats

35 gallon drum for parts washer?

I've always got mine free from the quick lube places. I think they are 35, but might be 30. Usually I get the ones used for transmission fluid, but have a few from oil. They look kind of cool too, since they have company logos painted on them, like Valvoline and Quaker State.

Best way to attach wood board to concrete wall?

I've used Tapcons for stuff like this. Construction adhesive would also work if properly prepared. Generally I do both, glue and screw.

Work Benches.... with wheel casters or without??

In my woodworking shop I use large verticle toggle clamps and replace the rubber tip with a threaded wheel. One mounted on each corner. I have this setup on my main work bench and lathe. They work ok, but are kind of a pain to lift the workbench...fairly cheap though, especially if you don't...
