It's pretty cool, no doubt. Lots of possibilities. Sometimes a brittle part works OK too, like this guy that is 3D printing the glove box lock knobs for old Volvos. Can't be any more brittle than the factory thirty five year old plastic right?
Looking good! I think maybe I should rent a corner of a working garage like you have - probably make me more motivated to do things with others working diligently around me!
Re: Vintage Black & Decker Drill
Are these actually rare? I have one of these, maybe two since I know I have a polished metal one and gold/olive plastic also rings a bell. I've just never used them because they're wired. Came from my grandfather's estate I believe.
Thanks for the support guys! All the boxes in the older photos got hoisted up into the attic space by me and a friend. I have a rare factory volvo body kit to go up there next.
Not a terrible work space by any stretch. That lighting upgrade is really noticeable, even just in these photos! So I assume from your post that you're looking for a new home with more property to build a custom garage?
Looking good! Same size as my garage so I'm sure I can glean some ideas from your thread!
As for the window, I am in the same dilemma. I want to block the windows off from possible prying eyes while still allowing lots of ambient light. The solution I've been considering is the rustoleum...
Subscribing. You're doing a lot with not much space. I feel limited with my garage sometimes and it's a full 4 feet wider and a foot deeper. Keep it coming!
Wow lots of locals in this thread. I'm on the north shore, so far by lower mainland standards, haha. The shop looks fantastic! Progress also seems to be coming along very nicely. And I agree, it's been too damn cold lately!
Re: 60x100x18 - My dream coming true in the PNW.
My garage is 21'x21'x8' so... Yeah he *****. That place is going to be awesome! So much space for 'activities'...
Wow. Blast from the past! Look at how horrible this place is / was. Look how empty the shelves were! Look at how tiny my little tree in between the doors was! The garage has been neglected and quite cluttered the last few years, since I got a girlfriend and got very busy. I really need to...
So I saw a craigslist free ad for 'tools' -
"Old tools needing to be cleaned up and two old metal tool boxes - boxes full"
It was only 10mins away from work, so I snapped 'em up.
Opened them up when I got home...
So, looks pretty bad. I don't even know if anything in here is...
