    6.5" vs 7.25" circ saw

I have a corded Porter Cable 7-1/4. Had it a long time. Its a nice saw with blade left. Can't even remember the last time I used it. I have a Dewalt cordless 6-1/2. That's been my go-to for years. I do have a miter saw that I use for finish work or if I have a lot of boards to cut.

Seems like a nightmare to pack up an entire garage. When is the last time you moved (your entire tools & garage) ?

I am getting ready to move. Already sold my 60-gal compressor. Going to buy a 20-30gal unit. I just moved 3 years ago and did some purging then. Just started packing and emptying the basement. Can not believe how much stuff we have. I am already tired.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Sold my 60-gal compressor. Looking to buy a portable 20-30 gal. My needs have changed and with a small garage being portable is a big plus.

Getting tired of Hansen socket organizers. Westling looks tempting. Any Westling users here?

I mentioned about receiving two different shades of red and blue when I bought my trays. But since they were bought 5+ years apart I just figured the colors changed over the years. I would think it's unacceptable to get trays in the same order with that much color difference. Also, the pegs not...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Working on cleaning up under the hood of my 85 Mustang. One of the previous owners removed some of the smog stuff already. But it came with the car. So, I will also save this stuff. Definitely need to be driving it more this year.

My darker ones look the same. The lighter ones don't have the Proudly Made in The USA on them. The lighter color are the original ones I bought.

Oh yeah, the red is not the same either. I almost sent them back and went with a totally different color.

I bought some when the original thread was on GJ years ago. I think it was a $99 shipped for metric and sae 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 trays. With the 1/2 being 2 sperate trays. Then about 5 years ago I ordered 4 more trays. I think they are great.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Warmed up today into the 40's. So, I took a few hours off work and degreased, and power washed under the hood and front suspension on my 85 Mustang. The engine has been leaking for a while and really needs to be resealed. Hoping to find time over the winter to pull the engine and re-gasket...

Trusty Cook Needs to make lighter ball peen and double flat hammers

Not sure if you guys were talking head weight or total hammer weight. I think Trusty Cook hammer sizes are the total weight of the hammer. Which I don't think is the norm for how companies list their hammers. I think the 26oz is actually a 16oz head with a total weight of 26oz. Which I think is...

M12 Battery Choice for 1/2 Impact?

I prefer the 5.0. I had 3.0 when I got my impact. I then got a deal on some 5.0. I gave the 3.0 to a buddy. I do you use my impact a lot. Probably on some stuff that I should break out a bigger impact for so for me the bigger the battery the better.

What combination of ratchet styles is most useful if having 5-7 ratchets?

Here are my ratchets after thinning the heard. If I got down to 7, I would get rid of the Craftsman 1/4 palm, 3/8 Gearwrench stubby, and the 1/2 Craftsman. I really like the handle on the 3/8 and 1/2 Craftsman. I know we were not talking battery/cordless ratchets. But I had the M12 for years and...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Hung up some stuff in the space between the wall and a section of rack. I had some steel wheels powder coated this week and new tires mounted on them. Put one on my 86 Mustang to see how they look. Need to paint the end of the axle black.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Finally got around to putting the new wheel cylinder's, e brake cables, hardware, and shoes on the rear of the 85 mustang. I ordered the parts back in April, but work was so busy the last several months I had no time or energy. Used my cheap harbor freight brake bleeder. Which worked okay for...
