I didn't do any prep for this one. I had done a packout ammocan a week or so ago and sanded that one. I want to see how each hold up. Worst case if this one doesn't hold up I can sand and repaint and not be out anything except time.

We used a similar book. Check ebay for older versions. You can usually find a copy one or two editions out of date for less than $10. A lot of the time the changes are minor.

Thanks everyone for the replies. It was difficult to write but once I got started I found that I couldn't stop. It is also great to hear everyone's stories about their grandparents.

I still have a lot to go through. There are some older tools I will try to specifically single out and do better pictures of things like that as I go through everything. I picked the easy box and a half first.

I live in Greenville and my grandfather lived about 15 minutes from here.
