My experience buying a new ICON 73" roller cabinet = VERY pleased!

Yeah I expected to get 30% off but the way it worked out was 20% off the item and then 10% off from that lesser amount so It was about $60 higher than expected but I wasnt worried about that. I had read the horror stories. I asked the store and they said the box would come their to them first so...

My experience buying a new ICON 73" roller cabinet = VERY pleased!

Well I pulled the trigger on this 73" blue ICON tool box. I ordered on Feb 18th and picked it up at the store today so just about 4 weeks exactly, not bad. I used the 20% off any item no exclusions coupon from the President's day sale and then opened a CC acct for another 10% off. The process...

Well its been just over 2 years since my last post and my how the world went nuts! I FINALLY got back to working on my shop instead of just in it. I got a Rotary 10k 2 post lift about a year ago and thats been nice! I have the interior walls almost wrapped up and will move onto the ceiling soon...

I am thinking steel panels in the same color scheme as my old shop, 2 tone gray with a 4" blue stripe around at 4' up. Old shop had OSB that I had painted. It looked OK but the roughness just never suited my liking. I had to use a sprayer to paint it cause the OSB just wouldnt roll into the...

So all walls are sheathed & wrapped now. Had to go back up on the roof and fix my first mistake of this build. Since I was putting steel down I did not want to use cap staples which would cause unsightly bumps in the steel. I was told I could just staple it down using a hammer tacker and that...

Treated at the bottom just to keep sheathing from swelling or rotting as easy. Maybe just overkill but can't hurt. The bottom plate is treated as well and just didn't like the idea of untreated sheathing that close to ground.

Thanks guys! I'm the one doing the work now. Builder only did the frame up and roof sheathing. I'd have done that too but hard to lift the walls and truss by myself without renting equipment.

Well it's raining again so here's an update. I got the back and front wall sheathed and wrapped. It was too late in the day to get an endwall sheathed & wrapped so I got the garage door L-6 trim installed instead.

So it's a miserable wet rainy day here, can't get any work done. Roof sheathing and underlayment down. Got the two foot band of treated sheathing around the outside and waiting for a dry day to finish the rest of the OSB sheathing up, then house wrap. Steel has arrived and here are the colors...

The slab is actually two separate pours. The slab on the right was original for the old building and has footings and it's around 5 inch thick. The newer side on the left also has footings and is 6 to 8 inch thick with steel rebar and 3500 psi concrete. Left side was built for big 2 post lift to...

THANK YOU! I have been told I am crazy to start over but the end result will be much better! IF I had expanded old shop I would have had the 2 poles in the middle on the left side holding ends of trusses up. I had that on the right side already when they built it 8' wider than the kit, I HATED...
