Another vote for Hein Werner 93642. They're as low as $240 right now. I've had mine six years and love it, still works as smooth as new, lets the vehicle down with full control. Pumps consistently, very good casters/wheels as well. By far the best jack I've owned.

Similar experience here, mine will just "stall" even without being in a cut. You have to bump the blade to get the piston to turn over, then it'll cut for a bit but stalls frequently. Royal pain in the ***. This is definitely one of those deals where you should go for a more quality unit.

Use my M12 3/8" ratchet all the time, as others have said it saves a ton of time. I break bolts loose with it and haven't had an issue yet. I'm not talking heavier suspension type bolts, I'd have my 3/8" impact out for those anyway

They're definitely worth more. There may be some sweet spot where the relative value of a vise is more/less (say $$ per pound or inch of jaw width) but can speak from experience that a 6" vise (all things being equal) is going to be worth more than a 4".
