Since you already have a 240 receptacle for your 6000 watt genny, just make you a custom power cord for your 1000 watt Honda. Use a regular 3 prong 110 plug (genny side) and what ever 4 prong for your 240 receptacle with a jumper going from L1 to L2. Be sure to mark that cord as being shorted...
