If the diamond plate is your thing, the gladiator boxes ive seen at sears seem pretty solid. Deep drawers, rubber bumpers, nice casters. Plus, it ties in with the rest of your garage. I say, go for it.

Lots of good meters mentioned here. BUT, many of them are not "true RMS." If you want to follow the GM guidelines and use a "True RMS" multimeter, then you might want to look at the Craftsman Professional. Its a rebrand of an extech model. It has auto ranging and min/max. Its even on sale...

Easiest thing - swing by your local dealership/repair shop. Ask the service guy if he has any of the rep's cards. Chances are, they will be happy to point you in the right direction.

Do yourself a huge favor. Just buy quick-struts or some other ready-to-install struts. Easier, safer, faster. You will thank yourself. Compressing strut springs...:shocking:

:dunno:I am no lawyer...but I would think that making money on catalogs created by SEARS AND ROEBUCK would be a violation of some kind of law.

An air compressor is a very handy tool...but I haven't rotated my own tires in years. I always buy mine with free rotate and balance :rocker:

That 227 piece set was on sale for like 99 bucks at Christmas. Watch it on Memorial Day...if it is not on sale then, wait till Father's day. You can definitely get a good deal on it.

You could also keep your eyes peeled for a big piece of steel I-Beam. I have one with about a 5" flange width and it works great for hammering on.

I really like the harbor freight box; it's sturdy, the drawers roll smooth, and its a great price. BUT the drawer layout just *****. It has way too many drawers that are just a bit too shallow and a couple of drawers that are not quite deep enough. That box looks a little better...but it still...
