I was also surprised when I saw that amp, cost me a whole $60. Cheap chinese product though, but does the job. That stool used a be a kitchen stool, but perfect my my use, the height is perfect for my slightly high workbench. Sturdy to sit on, but I wouldn't try to stand on it!

    My garage from South Africa

Started painting the workbench's cabinet doors, came out pretty nice by using a foam roller and Post Office Red Enamel. Now just to add the aluminium trim and some handles. As you can see the workbench top is not totally level on the left. Need to take a spacer out and tighten the screws...

    My garage from South Africa

` Was built by a contractor. I must say the roof is pretty sturdy, walked on it once before and there is not really any movement. The photo's might not give you the right impression, the garage is +- 5m wide and 10m deep. The hose reel is hanging from one of the main beams (upper), not the...

Hi guys, it's been a while since my last update. Got the ceiling and insulation done this weekend, very happy with the outcome: Insulation Before paint After paint I've started on the cabinet doors. Stupid order twice as much sheetmetal than I needed, sized and bent same size as the...

Hehe, I'm really trying to get rid of those couches. Wasting valuable floor space and don't really feel like doing the floor until they are gone!

Do these SYAM (South African) Tool drawers look decent?

Tool drawers over here are very expensive, especially anything imported. Look at the specs, what you you guys think of this one, any good to spend money on? It' 3700 South African Rand, the AmPro equivalent without top box is 5000 Rand...

    My garage from South Africa

So I decided to redo that dodgy looking workbench. Before: Building the frame: After: It still needs paint and then the next step is to close the sides and mount some doors. Think Black frame with Red doors will be the theme here.

Yeah maybe, but I think I should be good with sockets. Think some of them you can't see on the photo's. Great idea, i was thinking rubber or garden hose, but then my dad gave me the idea of carpet. I bought it already, it's all rolled up (circled in red in the pic below). It's grey so after...
