Has anybody else tried swapping the guts from a MATCO 88 toother into a Craftsman Premium?

Yup, I'm a best brand for the tool guy as long as its made in USA. For example Channel Lock pliers. As tool brands shift overseas, I find a good USA replacement. For example replace Crescent adjuable wrenches with Craftsman (actually better than Crescent IMHO).

Sorry for resurecting this old thread, but when you did the swap what effect did the raised circle in the CMan premium body have on the Matco gear? I only ask, because I fear CMan might discontinue the premium, but its the best ratchet I've ever had.
