15 bucks got me two Armstrong 1/2 inch ratchets, a set of Proto Professional sockets (number 5400 F) including organizer (7/16 to 1 1/4 inch) and also (not pictured) 2 regular sized USA vise grips, and an old Stillson wrench that looks to be in great shape.

You cannot solicit a You ****. The award rules clearly state that any member who solicits a You **** for a purchase or acquisition disqualifies himself from receiving the coveted You **** award for that purchase.

I've consulted my attorney and he concurs with your interpretation of the award rules. However, your application of those rules definitely ***** :)

Definition of SOLICIT
transitive verb
1a : to make petition to : entreat b : to approach with a request or plea <solicited Congress for funding>
2: to urge (as one's cause) strongly
3a : to entice or lure especially into evil b : to proposition (someone) especially as or in the character of a prostitute
4: to try to obtain by usually urgent requests or pleas <solicited donations>

Since I did not solicit a You ****, but rather asked for an opinion as to the applicability of the award in this case, I offer to the Court that my post was, in fact, an inquiry, or request for information, rather than a solicitation.

I rest my case.

Upon further investigation, I take your thread title, "Garage Sale Find--is it a U ****?" as a request in the form of a question. Therefore, your title becomes a solicitation.

But enough kidding.......you done very well! That set of Proto sockets is very enviable. Especially at the price and combined with the other tools.

Wow..everyone should definitely remember that next time they consider approaching a lady of the night! It appears you can get busted for asking "are you a prostitute" instead of the more direct solicitation when asking "how much for a &%$#!"

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE! :)

He may have disqualified himself from an official USUK award, but he DOES ****, nonetheless.

It's the vintage socket holder that makes me think we should bend the rules. When we live in a society that bends more rules than it upholds, who are we to not extend at least a SUCKLET award here?
