So this is near me and it is pretty cheap. Anyone with any clue as to what it is? I think it is a Workhorse maybe?

Thoughts, opinions, any information?

It is an import. They are OK vises for hobby shop use, just don't think that is good olde American Iron.

I paid less than $20 for mine and it does just fine.

I am sure it was less than 20 because of the thinking in the post above.

I have a Chinese "Olympia" vise exactly like this that I bought at Costco maybe 15 years ago for $29 and it has been fine. The only thing I don't like about it is that it rotates freely until the jaws are tightened, instead of having a separate method of locking.
