I think we need to start a thread that tells which magazines have the coupons in them

So wish there were a HF store within driving distance of where I live :(
Anyway I would like to add Ol' Skool Rodz and Car Kulture Deluxe to the list of magazines with ads/coupons.

Does anyone know if you can use inside track coupons if you're not an inside track member. I was going to post some for you guys but pointless if you can't use them.

I've never tried using one but from what I understand the cashier clerk is to ask for your ITC first.

Probably a dumb question, but are all of these mag coupons available to be printed from some where on line? I get a lot of these mags and don't use the coupons, I'd be willing to mail them to someone who could scan them in and post them. I have tried in the past myself with nothing good coming from it.

the official word is that they are suppose to ask for your ITC membership card and scan it. but the coupons will scan even without the ITC card so some people who pretended they forgot or lost their ITC card were able to use the ITC coupons without membership. Some times it depends on how friendly your cashier is. I'll admit, I did it once myself, but then realized there was enough stuff in the ITC coupons that I wanted the membership was worth it to me and signed up anyway. At my local HFT, they also give you a free gift card, which some cashiers will apply towards your membership purchase, effectively making the membership half price. I ended up buying multiple items w/ my ITC membership which i later sold on ebay that more than covered my cost of the membership.

in short, monitor the coupons for a few months and if you think it's worth it, sign up... it's easy and doesn't cost that much.

I gave a couple ITC coupons to a friend who wasn't an ITC member. I told him if they ask for his card, to tell them he just signed up a couple days ago and doesn't have his card yet (worked for me last spring before I broke down and bought the membership). They refused him, insisting on the card, so I picked up a couple things for him the following week.

Its on the website for 79.99 use a 20% off coupon that should get you down around 64.00 havent seen a coupon on that for quite a while.
I've got this jack and it has several problems.

It accepts a 1/2" ratchet to jack it up and down, but the ratchet won't stay in the jack.

It sits too high off the floor, so when the transmission is on the jack the car has to be pretty high to get the trans and jack under the car. I had my car as high as the floor jack would take it and it still wasn't high enough.

The pad for the trans to sit on is too small and the trans wants to slip around even when it's strapped in. I covered the pad with a piece of thin rubber to give it some grip and keep the transmission from slipping off.

I don't think a transmission jack qualifies as a floor jack, I'd say you can use a 20% off coupon on this item.

You can get away with the 20% on the tool cart because its a CART and not a CABINET. I bet they wont accept it because it is a transmission JACK. Or maybe my local HF is just the strictest around on coupon usage lol

I think the optimum word on the 20% off coupon is floor, also, I just called HF to see if I could apply a 20% off coupon if I ordered this item and was told yes.

I'd say if anyone is denied at there local HF store to tell them call corp, that should clear the misunderstanding up. JMO

On Wed I used a coupon for the air hose reel & free tape measure at the HF by my work. They had trouble scanning the two coupons & had to key them in manually. Friday during lunch I bought some air hoses & used the free gloves coupon. Then after work I used the coupon for the 5 drawer cart & coupon for the free screwdrivers.

Today I went to HF closer to my home to buy some misc stuff & used the free gloves coupon again. The cashier told me that they will soon no longer be accepting photocopied coupons because they will be changing to new systems. The HF by my work didn't mention anything like this. Has anyone heard something about this? Wonder what the new systems have to do with it? This doesn't make sense to me cause I get coupons emailed from HF & they have to printed.

What is the gift card worth? Im wondering if they automatically applied it to my membership or I just never received it.

Theres no way they could not accept printed coupons if the company emails you ones

Especially when Harbor Freight puts them on their own Facebook page to print

Exactly why it doesn't make any sense to me. Today I went back to the HF by my work to return the air hose reel. For some reason I thought I currently had 25ft hose but I have 50ft. So I bought the 50ft hose reel & again used a printed coupon. Cashier took the coupon without a hassle.

Maybe she misunderstood what her superiors told her? I wonder if she is telling everyone that. :headscrat

It's not too hard to tell a printed coupon from a scanned and printed coupon.

It wouldn't be too hard for them to know that a "free screwdriver" coupon was available to anyone from FB, but "free multimeter" was only available in magazines, etc.
With the increasing web presence of e-subscriptions, it seems to be a faulty policy, but you can't blame them for trying to limit the improper use of the coupons.

where is the free multi meter coupon? i need one =)

There's one out there that is good with any purchase rather than $9.99+. I found it over on SD. Used it tonight to get one to put one in the glove box for emergency situations. I wish I had got one sooner!

It seems around here the only free coupons they ever print are flashlights and scissors. You can only get so many of those!

Just by the way.. dont know if anyone has posted this yet..

but the 20% is no longer valid on tool carts anymore.. like the 5 drawer service cart #95272, 4 drawer #95659, 1 drawer #90428....

I would say that's a YMMV. Several folks have had success recently using the 20% off on service carts.

I used the 20% off on the 5 drawer cart less than two weeks ago and it worked just fine.

So much for getting a second one....
