What do you guys think? It looks well made, it's complete which is a definite time saver, and it can be one stop shopping if you order the PEX tubing at the same time.

The cost seems a bit high, but OTOH I've seen just the manifolds/pumps/pressure tank at ~ $1000 plus the cost of the heater.

Opinions? Anyone actually bought from them?

I haven't price out the individual components for awhile, but I did once and the pre-made boards were really expensive.

I can tell that you have been using the Siesco heater for 3 years without a single issue.

It looks like a good system. 11kW is a bit borderline for my planned detached garage but I figure I can always install a larger heater if need be, or just use some supplementary heat for the coldest days.

It does seem expensive though, but I've tried to save money in the past and spent a lot of time sourcing a bunch of parts, and in the final analysis I didn't save much of anything. I also like the simplicity: one zone, one pump, one thermostat.

This cost me about $350, and I dont think you can get simpler than this thing.

Menards has been advertising pre-made units like this. I think they were cheaper, but I would have to look up the sale bill again. I thought they were advertising $1,300 but not sure what size the instant heater was.

Fastback....how big of a garage/shop are you heating with your set up?

24x30 (720 sf)

6" slab with a thermal break between the floor and foundation to prevent heat creep out of the slab, and a lot of r-30 with 8" thick walls.

I have a build thread somewhere.

I've seen the Menards website, and I'm surprised how much radiant heating items they sell. Fastback: I've saved that exact pic from one of your previous posts. Looks excellent! It sure doesn't seem to get any simpler than that. Canuck prices are far higher, but I'm sure a trip to the closest North Dakota Menards could fix that.

PEXSUPPLY.com supplied nearly everything on the wall except the heater, I got that from Ebay.

I found the prices on the brass parts to be 2x that of the on line places, and the spirovent and tank were nearly the same discounted on line. Menards was great for the last minute parts, but the parts were really overpriced there.

I purchased one a couple years ago and it works great. It was pretty simple to install just basic install on wall and connect to tubing. Heats my garage nice. The do not use the Siesco boiler anymore now it is the Thermolec (see what i mean here: radiantmadesimple.com/pre-assembled-panels. I didn't think the price was too high, I found it was better and cheaper then buying each individual part plus I didnt have to hassle with putting it all together. I have to say well worth it.

I used Fastback's picture (thanks) as a reference but with a twist
I'm heating a 20x24 that's insulated almost all around and foamed on the ceiling.
Two taco pumps and a heat exchanger and it seems to be costing $30 a month to keep it in the upper 50's
Fastback, how much does it cost a month?

@Nivekdodge - what is connected to the other (non-floor) side of the heat exchanger? A boiler? Water heater?
