Hi All,
After my recent tool haul, along with some other work I used the forum wisdom to get a HF Cleaner.
I used a combination of water, vinegar and a degreaser known as Awesome.
Used 1/2 a qt of degreaser, the rest water and a 1/2 cup of vinegar.
The pics taken on the black mat show the befores on the sockets,on the red toolbox are the after photos.

You pretty happy with it then? I was thinking about picking one up for cleaning clock parts.

Make sure to get some oil/grease back into that stuff and all the cleaner out. Since its cheap I would do a WD40 spray on all of it, then preferred goop.

My Dad had a nice one that he used for cleaning clock parts in his clock shop. It did a great job without damaging fragile parts. I was P.O.'d when he sold it along with his business. I would have liked it for cleaning carb parts.

I've had amazing results using mine for cleaning carb parts. I use 4 parts water, 1 part green Simple Green. Leave 'em in there for an hour or more, just turn the parts every 15 minutes.

What do one of these cost, with a coupon?

Yes I am very happy with it.I have been disposing of the cleaning solution after each nights use,but I am wondering if I should just leave it til it quits acting like it is working.???

My cost was $67.81 with 20% coupon and 6 % sales tax.

I paid around $4 for a quart of Awesome at Ace Hardware, used it too clean some other stuff and was happy with it,found it later in the week at Dollar Tree.
It is cheaper than the Purple power and using them each a couple times I like the Awesome better and save $3/gallon.
