How do you guys that pull wrenches for a living keep your tools so clean? I would lose my shirt if I spent half an hour cleaning my tools everyday.

It's called not flat rate... I wipe them off as I put them back in the box after every job. If I'm feeling motivated I'll wipe the box down at the end of the day too.

Mine will be coming soon guys....
On vacation for the next week....

What'd you get?

Here's my organization... Wrenches and sockets get lined up to make my ocd happy. Stuff like pry bars and hammers just get thrown in drawers in a general area.

The not so organized stuff...

they came as part of a set which included the full size wrenches, but came in a clamshell, so no racks included. picked up the racks for the flu size wrenches from Snap-on, will get racks for the stubby wrenches from Ernst, should fit perfectly.

I don't have pics of all my boxes and drawers, but here are some....

Blue liner is for metric sockets, black liner is for the SAE sockets...

Hi, MrSimba

What is the black material you used for the vertical dividers in the 3rd-8th photos?

It looks like a stiff foam, or maybe black PVC.

Regards,
RonB

Hey guys. I was browsing this very thread 6 months ago while I was searching google for some ideas for tool box organization ideas, and tool ID ideas. Identification is key in my shop as we have multiple techs with the same brand of tools. I went with Matco and Craftsman for the tools and Masterforce (menards) with the box. The box is 56' and it has a side box thats 16'. It has the stainless top option. The drawers are a lot deeper than the pictures show... bad angles I guess. Checkin it-

My wooden organizer for my Gray tools punch and chisel set would like to have something similar for my 21 piece SK screwdriver set like shown below.
The plastic tray is broken into may pieces now its 13 years old

This picture stolen from SK screwdrivers thread

don't know about the new ones but i love my green hard handles ( made in france )

In my small 3 drawer handheld box I'm trying to keep it organized without anything.

The plan is to get socket rails and keep them in the deep drawer, but do you think there is any way to organize screwdrivers well in small spaces?

new to this site, and gaining some nifty ideas.

Here is the setup I have in to keep pace with 4 vehicles, a sailboat, and 2 military jeeps in build up. Bottom drawers are full of pullers, bearing drivers, taps/dies, diag tools and vw diesel equipment.

Wait didn't MechanicnamedJohn have a whole set of Harbor Freight tools? Like the most ridiculous Harbor Freight collection of all time?
