Should have worn a mask, as I'm coughing and runny nose. Well, we've already established what an idiot I am.

Put on a mask Bill, even if it's just a crappy dust mask. I do the same thing all the time, and inhaling a bunch of nasty stuff, and the effects from it outweigh the annoyance of a mask.

If it makes you feel any better; while you are in your basement working over the holidays, I'll be up in my attic tearing out old fiberglass & blowing in new cellulose. I figure, my X-mas present to myself will be the enjoyment of finishing the project, hopefully you can give yourself the same sort of present.

Keep up the good work, and happy holidays!

Bill

Curious minds want to know.... Were you able to get your water pipes repaired?

Hopefully the new year holds more progress for you.....

I reckon he would have said if it were so.
I also have an idea that this simple job will be blown out of all proportion in Bills mind.
Negative thoughts of re flooding the basement so he adds the stuff about getting the heat going making the job bigger and more arduous to justify putting it off for another day!
Hook up the pipe Bill you only have to shut it off again if it goes wrong :eyecrazy:

My reading of the thread shows he had access to the plumbing issue in october of 2015. Then in december he needed some parts, then again in early 2016 he brought a whole shitload of stuff back down to the basement, and is cleaning it again.

From developed access to now is 7 months elapsed time to fix a broken pipe that is supposedly accessible.

Stay on target OP, thats lots and lots of time to fix a pipe. This needs to be priority number one, no more moving stuff around in the yard until you have running water.

You did the hard part, you got the access cleared. Now do the easy part and fix the pipe.

This is like talking a beautiful woman into bed and then spending the time watching reruns of gilligans island. All you have to do is complete the repair job.
