Weekend to myself ... so spent it in the garage, building a trailer, playing with dogs and enjoying the weather. My big Cane Corso was full of energy too, and dragged me all over the yard. The Bassets just slept under the sailboat.

Yesterday:
"New" MATCO toolbox - I worked on sorting out the SAE/Specialty sockets drawer; This is going to take several hours to get to the "sets" I want, while also getting to as much Proto/Snap-On as possible. I also cut all the cork I had for drawers that need new liners. All the drawers have stiffener/dividers going either side to side or front to back, so there might be one half drawer of cork left for a side by side.

I got back to the Camp trailer:
I did a trial fit of the plastic tubs: 4 new bigger ones, two of the smaller ones I've been using fit, leaving the 6" of the cover available on top of them. I removed the old ply off the trailer, started repairs to the center cover support (it came lose as the 4 corner rivets let loose, and RTV on the rest wasn't up to it on its own...).

I got 2 new sheets of 1/2 ply for the new "car top" tent deck, and some aluminum pop rivets. I also got the new orange lens covers for the wheeless trailer signal lights (Everything is getting changed over to the 7 pin trailer plugs)

Spend part of the day building garage cabinets with my father the we hung the up and made shelves. I really enjoyed this project as it went smooth as butter other then needing to fish an outlet away from the working zone

They are pretty tough. Many of my friends use them on their dedicated dirt bikes.

rebuilding the deck for the car top tent that goes on top of the small trailer I'm setting up for hunting.

I won't have a tent made for it this year, but the poles will support part of a tarp than will get stretched to an overall canopy with added poles.

Basic deck structure is done. I used Gorilla Wood Glue as its supposed to be indoor/outdoor, and not reactive to water... the directions said it would expand. boy did it! I need a disposable roller for this stuff...

I spent most of the day getting old hardware off the trashed deck and building this:

I have deft on the top and bottom, and tomorrow I'll belt snag the edges and deft the insides, cleanup the support hardware and assemble that, mount it on the trailer, install the poles, string some 1" webbing to hold the poles in position, and maybe get the tarp sorted out... then I need a travel cover.

Btw BMW owners, I know they're not all the same brand boxes.

I sold an old Dixon Bate tow hitch for a landrover on Ebay.. tonight I had to strip it down to box it up ready to send.. £35 in the Bunker pot and another item gone off the floor..

At this rate I'm gonna have to buy one of them long things with bristles on the wide bit at the end to push dust around..

oh yeh it's called a broom.

Pulled the front coils off both sides of my 84 Bronco. Man I'm glad I bought a bigger compressor! Those 1 1/8" nuts at the bottom of the coils were ....snug.

Everything came apart in about 20 minutes even with 32 years of salt and rust.

We cleaned it up and put it back together after the paint dries. Then we will have a level Bronco.

Might do new sway bar bushings and radius arm bushings too.

Worked on trailer till gas ran out

Put new front pads and rotors on the wife's Sportage. Made a note to check the rears in January. 93K and only normal maintenance ... zero issues equal a happy owner.

Was a very busy weekend for me. Finally got my tv/sound system hooked up in the garage so I can surf the web, stream Spotify and watch a movie if I wanted to. For those looking for an awesome little device I would strongly recommend the Remix Mini - one of the first Android pc's. Works awesome!! I bought it for $79 and was able to install Kodi on it along with Spotify, YouTube and Chrome. http://www.jide.com/mini

Finally got the hoses and extension hydraulic lines for my Max Jax lift off the floor and secured to the ceiling. No more tripping on the damn things which is a huge plus!!

I mounted the flow diverter on the ceiling using the stock hoses and bought a new hose to connect back to the power unit. Still have to mount the unit to the wall - tired of crouching down.

And put two hooks in the wall to hold my jack stands

Just realized that my garage looks a lot messier in pictures than I thought. More cleaning on the horizon I guess.

Me too! except I was the one that ran out of gas... after about 11 hours...

Progress! slower that I wanted but even Deft and fast dry paint takes time to dry... (Not that I wasn't bust doing other prep work... the hardware all needed wire wheeled or painted or both...)

I got the deck complete enough to mount it back on the trailer. and installed the tent supports. I need to find the 100 ft roll of 1" webbing I have around here somewhere and string the pols so the are supported when its in the open position (This also give the tarp or tent some extra support). Then the tarp gets snap on retainers to keep it in place...

While deft is drying. two coats and 30 min between coats... (I did part of it yesterday, the "insides" got done today)

Basic mount. starting to shape up

The poles and ladder, and the stiffeners for the part that folds out.

And in the "in use position" I still need those tent supports straps and the middle one finishes straight up, the other two at about 45 degrees or so.

The ladder was JUST long enough at full extension. I'll need to make the extenders longer after I get the 12" tires on the trailer...

Nice signs but.. I got to ask HOW TALL ARE YOU !!! lol I would need a step ladder to get the clamps down they look to be about 6 foot up the wall lol :} And since I live in the tall for a smurf world lol I had to ask :}

Luckily they had a quickstrut for her car so 90$ later and like literally 10 minutes after we got back I had it all back together. It doesn't get much easier than swapping one of these out.

Finished off my Liftmaster install. Decided to run the sensor, etc. wires thru conduit instead of just stapled to the wall.

Had to add the ceiling outlet and also added a box to feed the wired control near the house.

Used plastic loom to clean up the initial feeds into the PVC. Everything feeds into the 6x6 box and then thru plastic loom to the 8500.

Perspective is a *****, I was actually sitting on my mechanic's stool when I took those pictures. The 2x4 the clamps are on is maybe an inch or two higher than eye level for me, PO had put it there to hang garden tools from. I removed most of it from around the garage just haven't got around to all of it (isn't really my style/ideal solution) so I use it for now.

After getting my Jeep back together on Saturday I decided to start going through some areas of the shop that needed cleaning, starting to think ahead as to what will be going with us and what I will be getting rid of. Doesn't look like I will be getting rid of much. :eyecrazy:

Sunday my wife and I started going through the same thing in the house and threw some items away and have a pile for the DI but for the most part we really don't have a lot of clutter or stuff that we don't need, probably due to the de-cluttering phase we went through a few years ago.

I should have started to clean my garage, but no.....started to clean up a new to me commercial slicer.

Globe 825 just a quick clean and resell......well 7 hours later most of it is clean and in 100 pieces. Now it is in full rebuild mode. :dunno:

Sure i will have too much time into it but I will be able to sell it with confidence that it will work for a very long time.

I don't. I have an almost identical engine in my 09 cts v. This one is going to be higher compression 10.4 to 1 since it will be running almost only e85 fuel.this one has further ported heads , valves and roller cam bearings. Will still be flex fuel so running 91 won't require anything other than pumping fuel in the tank.

It will also utilize a 1.9L lsa oem supercharger . Goal is 800+ whp and mid 9s on 10.5 Tire. Will be very street friendly including a/c and decent handling capability.

Welded a hook to the bucket of my compact tractor. Yes, I know the weld is ugly, but its strong. Going to put another on the back end.

Then wired in a brake controller for my new to me 20' trailer to haul said tractor. 20 foot is over kill, but for $400 I grabbed it. Tucked the wire into the factory loom, never drilled a hole and good to go!

OK, stringing two straps took an inordinate amount of time this evening after work between getting all the requisite pieces I knew I had, getting one strap in, and then stopping to try to go get some simple strap adjusters so I could do the other one (three stops and none found, came home and did some more digging and found some more I already had...

So Its dark when I tried for this pic, and I had to adjust the light, so it looks over flashed, (but you can see the straps now...)

I want one more strap in the middle going from one side bow to the other bow, over the center one as I hate when water gathers in the "pocket".

We did a fluid swap and cleaning of the parts washer today 20 gals of psc1000 about 5 short... I'm going to make a dunk tank out of the old fluid... a 30gal oil can and a stainless pot... for pre-cleaning...

Left Walmart with a bent Realcraft 50' hose reel that looks like it got knocked off the wall by a fork lift. Just needs straightened out a bit. I've been on the hunt for a while now,
but heck you can beat FREE
