I bought them at the Mutsuura store in Rakuten. The price is € 45 + customs fee (30% in Spain).

https://global.rakuten.com/en/store/mutsuura/item/10495967/

 at the translation!

"10 regular company of fire fighters set 3310PS vessel (VESSEL) with the Woody driver penetration case"

BTW, the seller's name is: "Kouguyanopro"; not Mutsuura. :)

Earlier this summer, Vessel introduced a ratchet in their lineup with Woody handle. Judging from the head design, the ratchet is obviously from Taiwan:

I think the proportions are off, especially with the 1/4 drive

Even offered as a set with carrying case:

No need to apologize! Thank YOU for pointing out the Kouguyanopro / Mutsuura connection.

My goodies have arrived from Japan...hope to post them up soon. :bounce:

Hello all,

You guys are a really bad influence. Here I am with my buy domestic product preference and Y'all have to show tools made in Japan that are made nowhere else. Gets me in the mood to sample. After reading all 125 pages of this thread, my interest is peaked in: Ko-ken (regular and Z-EAL), Nepros, Vessel, Keiba, 3 Peaks, and Engineer.

I have found .pdf catalogs in english for Ko-ken, Vessel, and Engineer.

I can find the KTC number 38 full line catalog but cannot find the Nepros line.

Keiba's web site is good enough to not need a catalog.

And I find nothing on 3 Peaks other than some listings on Rakuten.

Any help or links would be appreciated.

Oh, it doesn't help my restraint any that the craftsmanship is excellent, or the prices are reasonable, .... And that the Japanese are open minded to European and American high quality brands like PB Swiss and Snap on.

They have a lot going for them,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the TOJ thread!

It's too bad 3-Peaks doesn't have an English site.

Cleeny,

Thanks for sharing! :)

I like the photo with the Nepros ratchet and pliers stacked on top of a Nepros .... t-shirt?

I'm not familiar with the KTC DB4. Is that a reversible blade type?

The DB4 was part of my MCK317 moto tool kit.
I like it, its magnetic, its got a 12mm bolster, and yup, reversible blade and comes with a flat blade too. The grip is great as well. And i remember seeing somewhere that the OEM may be Sunflag.
Yeah that's a t-shirt lol.
Oh I got the SD6 as well but forgot to post it.

MCK317, cool.

Sunflag is more than likely the OEM. The handle is definitely the same as their "Hybrid-Grip" No.5300:

How do you like the Asahi mini spanner, Chris? I got the 10mm myself, just havent used it yet.
Is it tough?!

Used on the alignment rack for tie rod lock nuts. Made by KTC. Works better than I had hoped.

The beefy handle is sooo ergonomic too. I can hang off the end of the wrench with all my weight and not feel strained.

The last time I used mine was to remove a 24mm NOx sensor. Some greasemonkey previously marred the corners of the sensor fitting and prevented an open end or box end from fully seating. Out came the KTC wrench and it worked brilliantly.

I've had the original 3pc set for some years and the 8, 10mm has come to use just a few times. The 5, 6, 7mm sizes are new additions to Asahi's lineup and since I could've used the 6mm a few times already, I had to get it.

They aren't stamped steel or some die-cast aluminum; it's forged steel tough. :)

Who has the best pricing on Nepros and Koken ratchets? Currently leaning towards Nepros for a 1/4 flex head, but pricing is so steep on the auction site, makes Snap On feel like a bargain.

Just some new additions for my home garage. Another smooth transaction with Franktools for the Ko-ken 1/2" attack driver, KTC 10mm x 12mm brake line wrench, and IPS extra long slip joint needle nose pliers. I was also finally able to track down a set of the Kowa Seiki OEM Honda 0 Degree 6pt and 12 pt wrenches and they showed up from Japan on the same day as my Franks order, so that was a pleasant surprise. Very pleased with everything so far.

Where did you get the IPS pliers?

Frankstools.com, I haven't checked his site lately, but last time I checked a few months ago he had some in stock. I can't remember exactly what I paid, somewhere around $17-$19 I think. I've used them a lot both at work and at home very handy and great price point.

Superautobacs,

What is the purpose or function of the KTC AE921 tool?

Thanks,

Dave

Dimitriy,

Try the Nepros USA website: http://www.nepros.net/?page=Home

For some reason they are priced lower for the US market.

For Koken, i tools on Rakuten, or frankstools.com. Have not ordered yet but hear good things on this thread about these three.

Someone needs to shut this thread down, it is really starting to get way too expensive for my wallet.

Seriously, and now thanks to Superautobacs and Mercucho, I just have to buy that hose clip tool... and sometimes I think Superautobacs is an undercover agent for Ko-ken and KTC :D

Engineer just uploaded a promo video for their Jet Black series of files.

They certainly look like quality products. Currently ¥ 11,020 for the full set (TFS-07) at Amazon.co.jp.

Reed Prince, thank you for posting this. I ordered the file set today. The set came out to $94.13 USD plus $9.85 for DHL global shipping. My last order from Amazon Japan only took six days to get to New York. Hopefully, these will arrive just as quickly.

Stop it, this really isn't funny, you guys need to cut the ****.

Now I have joined Amazon.jp and Amazon.de thanks to GJ. I also have ordered from both sites and I am sure I will do it again, I may even do it so much that my palms get hairy or I go blind.

i have not read all 127 pages so I may be repeating someone else's post but my favorite Japanese tool is the Vampliers. They come in several sizes.

Use it to remove damaged screws. Saved me more than once. I believe they are made by Engineer.
I would bet a handfull of people have already mentioned it.
