Yeah, probably. Especially considering I haven't been on a ride myself in close to six months, other than to work.
I know this is a garage site, but I'd like to show some of the projects I do around the house as well. A couple months back we decided to upgrade our home theater. We had the space for a much larger TV than the 52" that we currently were using. The current tv was also about 10 years old and didn't have any "smart tv" capabilities. Like every major project I do, I did a quick 3D layout of the room with SolidWorks and then a simple diagram.
This is where we started. You can see the tape I put up to show the placement and size of the new tv.
I pulled the old tv away from the wall and installed the wall mount. I opted to install it lower than what the tape shows.
I ran all the wiring in the wall, which you can't really show with a picture, but it turned out really clean. I hung the tv on the mount and tested out the picture.
Then, I started dealing with hooking up all the audio equipment, 4k bluray, etc.
I get super OCD with wiring and think I did a pretty clean job with it.
And, the final product. The picture is amazing and the sound quality is awesome.

aaaaaand I killed the thread. Sorry.
Lets do a quick little update on a project that I'm almost done with. Last November my son bought a newer car and he wanted to transfer his audio equipment from the old car to the new one. So I decided to help him make a custom fit subwoofer box for his speakers so he wouldn't just have a random rectangular box floating around in his trunk. I am also not a very good woodworker so this would be a good exercise for me. We took some measurements and got to work. So far, these are the results.

Great job on the subwoofer box. For someone with not a lot of experience you did an exceptional job. I used to make dozens of boxes just like that in my younger days. It takes me back.
To test for "air-tight-ed-ness" push the one subwoofer in and see if the other one pops out and stays there. If not, you have a leak. More than likely you'll get leaks around the subs and the wire connector if you mounted them over top of the carpet. For the best possible result, cut the carpet away and use silicone. It seems like a minor detail, but it makes a big difference in sound quality and "punch".

Thanks so much for the kind words. I just typically take my time on things I've never really done before. I've worked in the manufacturing industry since I was 15. So I have lots of hands on and design experience. I used silicone on everything on this box. It should be pretty close to airtight.
