Just picked up a very nice Beach box from a local flea market, the bottom draw is a selection of Britool stuff for my son's collection.
Any idea of its age?
Love the old Kennedy's.... I picked one up at an auction...looked really rough ...used a wire wheel lightly and just clear coated it..... i like the look I don't think I'm gonna do anything more with itHere's a Kenedy I think is older. I got it from my cousin. This is my first "rescue". I couldn't resist the flaking paint. It still has the felt in the drawers and even the original key!

Depends on what you consider "older"? They still make that box in that configuration. Before that they had leather covered handles (Up to sometime in the late 40's, possibly into the fifties) and before that the top had square corners. (thirties). It's hard to ID build dates on Kennedy's more than generally. I like 'em. It's a good, solid, no nonsense box. I have 22 Kennedy's including 5 carry boxes.
They are smaller than I thought....but both in good shape.... I'm thinking less than five for each....yes I'm cheapDunlap was Sears entry level brand... I would maybe go no more than $10 each if they were real clean

Like my Kennedy above I just knocked off the chunky rust and clear coated it.....I like the characterI bought a KRA 280 with the hope of restoring it, but now I'm a bit undecided on it. No real dents, just light rust spots

Was that an eBay win? I think I was watching that auction.
Yep, he had it on there for $70 Buy It Now. I offered $40 (still probably too much I'll admit) and he accepted

Looks like a 2/78 date code on that "care" paper in the lower right?![]()

Nice kit

Yep, just like the shop iron, I use that for mixes with chemical while my dad's expensive kitchen aid is used inside the house for kitchen use only, also it a sears version so inferior to the normal, though it is made in usa. [emoji16]Hey! He can bake cookies while waiting for paint to dry!
Or he can mix small batches of mortar...
