Here's a Kenedy I think is older. I got it from my cousin. This is my first "rescue". I couldn't resist the flaking paint. It still has the felt in the drawers and even the original key!

Just picked up a very nice Beach box from a local flea market, the bottom draw is a selection of Britool stuff for my son's collection.
Any idea of its age?

I'm pretty it's from the 80's to. The beach made boxes are some of my favourite boxes I have the craftsman and mastercraft just like that still looking the beach and gray version

Love the old Kennedy's.... I picked one up at an auction...looked really rough ...used a wire wheel lightly and just clear coated it..... i like the look I don't think I'm gonna do anything more with it88bc4d73f48a35aa8a18954d0638cac0.jpg

I've got an old Kennedy machinists box with the early leather handle. Its the old brown color.

I always wondered how they would look painted red. Now I know, looks very cool in red.

Depends on what you consider "older"? They still make that box in that configuration. Before that they had leather covered handles (Up to sometime in the late 40's, possibly into the fifties) and before that the top had square corners. (thirties). It's hard to ID build dates on Kennedy's more than generally. I like 'em. It's a good, solid, no nonsense box. I have 22 Kennedy's including 5 carry boxes.

Oh jeez, I had no idea. Is there a way to tell the date on it? That's why I love this website. There is ALWAYS someone on here with the info you need!

Dunlap was Sears entry level brand... I would maybe go no more than $10 each if they were real clean

I bought a KRA 280 with the hope of restoring it, but now I'm a bit undecided on it. No real dents, just light rust spots

This Craftsman skill saw with toolbox showed up on local CL. Toolbox is nice, but I already have the older 6 1/4 version of the Craftsman.

I almost forgot I had this tool chest. Unfortunately since I got it, it acquired some scratches. Do you have any idea on the age? I haven't found any markings.

Have you looked on the back on the lower right of the box? Use good light; if there it will probably be very faint. MBC stamped them there, at least for SO when they made theirs.

This is my dad's old toolbox. I'm keeping it safe in storage until my son is old enough to handle tools. My favorite feature are the reinforcing corner caps. Very sturdy for a small box.

I haven't heard if Union Professional. Anyone know anything? 4653a9561e53d2694addd90d2f4d82de.jpgabdbffeb8c37060934c89e871be622ac.jpgef481e45539af96670b750d3d7987170.jpg9390a87e13d8c61013a68d8ca0616121.jpg

Nice looking box. I like the plan to pass on to your son. I’d never heard of Union until I started hanging out here, but it’s a known brand around here. Maybe try running a search on it and see what you can learn.

Well that's not all my tools, most of what I have is what I inherited from my great grandfather, thank you papa bump I'll always remember you. But I have his craftsman work bench and more. then i work on the farm and job, so I was able to purchase new tools and used tools.2817f3113ddbb6a6fb98bf05e499efcd.jpgeeb67f8833a651cc9da60126070bacfc.jpgb2a16472ff87190c081d691e2e8d776a.jpgec46e4b1b7b5430d3a445168ea595726.jpg388e5577c4c87f0383ec6ca3fe54c81c.jpga84503d2183c528b5baa3ce419592523.jpg0ee695e589bbc96bad4fb3d7da00f5c8.jpg9238ed1552d9d6a12059cb00e91f98b1.jpg03905940c311b79a4f265f44536a430b.jpg

Hey! He can bake cookies while waiting for paint to dry!

Or he can mix small batches of mortar...
Yep, just like the shop iron, I use that for mixes with chemical while my dad's expensive kitchen aid is used inside the house for kitchen use only, also it a sears version so inferior to the normal, though it is made in usa. [emoji16]
