I received this week's Sweeps Weekly email (they skipped me and a bunch of other people last week). 
The freecash surprise points offer for receiving the email is $5 off any purchase (appears to have no $5+ requirement). It is valid all the way through Fri Oct 26, instead of the usual Tue expiration.

Man, I've been striking rich on points since I wiped out all of mine...I'm back up to over 100$. Of course most of that is due to Sears refunding me for 10 of the toolboxes, and then delivering them anyway, and triplicating the $75 on $75 rewards... Just now hit the 7pm $5 and $2, and hit the afternoon $5. Then I come here and see the deal with the sweeps email upping to $10.
I wiped my local store out of all the mini hack saw blades today in coarse and medium, they were marked down to 1.99 a pack and I used my all my remaining $5 pickup coupons. 5 packs of coarse and 10 of medium, all "Made in Germany".

Big change for how the Wild Wins Wed game works... you need to spread out your plays in different 4-hour intervals today.
Entry Period #1: Between 12:00:00 am CT and 4:00 am CT on October 24, 2018

[Update 3: They admitted they set it up wrong, it was limiting to 1 win per period for the first several periods today, but it's fixed now.]

Yep, previously I always won at least 5 nickels on the Wild Wednesday spins. I guess I will still win five nickels, I will just have to spin 20 times!
Can't do anything, but I do not like it. I probably will not have time to do these during the day due to work, and I already missed two periods below. I wonder why they do this. Maybe everyone are spinning them first thing in the AM and overwhelmed their server so they trying to spread out the load...

Yeah, despite being awake at weird times this morning, I missed that first period by a few minutes.
I don't think there was any real reason like that for this change... just people in corporate HQ trying to still justify their jobs by coming up with something to fiddle with. (There will probably be a PowerPoint presentation about the effects of this change.

Hey, hey, hi! Happy Wild Wins Wednesday! OK, so many of you may have noticed the changes to the game. Wild Wins Wednesday has been split up into multiple games. You now have a lot more spins and chances throughout the day. However, due to a ton of feedback, we did identify an issue. Everyone was only winning once per game. (Ah! Unintentional!) It was a technical issue that impacted everyone equally, though, and no one's chances of winning were different. The good news is that we have fixed the issue, and you should be noticing more wins now and moving forward. Thank you for all of your feedback! You are helping us every day to make Sweeps and Win It! better!!

They definitely did fix it. It was 1 win only during the first few periods today, and I've been getting lot (relatively speaking) more wins out of it in later periods today (but nickels still add up slooowly).

Logging into the app has become a nightmare. You have to do about three or four of those stupid tests where you have to find things in pictures. I've never seen such tight security.
Incase you do not know, click on your invite email again (same link). I got $10 freecash after I used my $5.

They rotate the security like they think this needs to be Fort Knox. One week numbers, then nothing, then back alphanumeric, then pictures. When it was only #s, I thought they had a semi-smart programmer, only because they did default the box where you enter the #, to only accept digits & went to that mode on your keyboard (on phone). Ya, that was a one time fluke of intelligent programming on their end
I successfully spent my $10 and $5 offers today. Ordered http://www.sears.com/craftsman-soft-face-hammer-with-4-tips/p-00938388000P (never on sale except on 10% days, so will price-match on Nov 4) and https://www.sears.com/craftsman-mega-mag-magnetic-pick-up-tool/p-00946947000P (on sale currently but hope it will go down further on Nov 4 too), all covered with using up some of my regular points too. Both are available for immediate pickup at my local store, but I'd also still like to get the extra-long version of the pickup tool some other week, which is only available at my less-convenient location. I believe these items are all still US-made (update: confirmed!), and the pickup tools are much stronger/sturdier than the Harbor Freight equivalent.
I will be going out of town for a few days, starting tomorrow. I'll try to still get on in at night to keep up with the news and post the next day's lists, but if I miss one, feel free to repost from last week in the morning.
