Interesting find. Is that a carbon scraper?

Have you guys ever seen any socket, any brand, with the markings on the bottom, around the drive opening? I haven't until just now on a TRUTH socket with a band of rope knurling and a 25/32" service opening. See Pic 3 in a post from RagTopTA on the GS thread linked here. It's the second socket from the left in Pic 2.

It's all good. Found very little information on the tool collecting sites. Didn't have a chance to check the USPTO yet but that would next avenue.Doh! Sorry, Roy!![]()
Found a set of 5 matching broached rings that fit into my Truth IR22. 3/4" thru 1" by 16ths, rings are stamped with size. The 'I' in the pn# probably means interchangeable. I wonder if there are other pieces...?

Dave, I missed your post until LNKMK8 posted. So the insertable sockets are the ratcheting mechanism, essentially. Or better said, the gear, since the pawl is in the ratchet frame. This is the coolest thing I have seen in awhile!I just picked up a set of these with Ratchet in the original roll.

Yeah when I first found the ratchet by itself I thought it was hilariously easy to drop the gear out. Then over a year later found the rings.
LNKMK8- is your ratchet 3/8 drive? I see yours has a different part number as well as the ring sizes are smaller.
Very cool!!
Interested in trading or selling?
Maybe a dust or grease cap pliers. Can anyone identify what this is?
That was my second guess. The teeth on pliers are shorter than a dust cap pliers.I'd be inclined to say blacksmith tongs??
Looks like a cylinder head wrench. What size are the openings that should help quite a bit.
Nice big ratchet. Not sure on the G&S. Could be a die marker maybe but we would need other specimens to prove that out but that may be an up hill battle. I am about 2 hours from where Truth was made and I hardly see any of it around.Thread bump. Nice 1/2” set Land Rover. No idea on the mystery wrench.
3/4” round head ratchet.
Sort of unusual how the selector rotates 360°, with two positions for off and two for on.

G&S appears on the beam. Does anybody have an idea of what that is? Maybe it has to do with the steel itself.
