Here is my latest restoration. Came from my stepfather's family farm coast of maine.
I cleaned it. Buffed it with a wire wheel on the grinder.
The metal was really pretty so I put on a clear coat enamel which I baked on at 250f for a couple hours. Three coats total. Letters are silver enamel. I don't plan on using this vise much so I just put a bit of three in one oil on the moving parts and screw.
