like the title states, has anyone mounted a locker to a master series box that already has an add-on end cab?

I know the epics are modular and be added on to infinitely.

I have a 1022 with a hutch. Locker on the left, and the end cab on the right which resembles a 3 bank. I just scored another locker for a crackhead deal last night.

my dilemma is do I move the end cab and have the locker/box/locker/end cab or do I leave the box the way it is and make a stand alone setup and keep it locker/box/end cab/locker?

or do I hang the locker on the other box.........or move the locker to where the end cab is now, and hang the end cab on the red box? lol

clear as mud eh?

You should sell me that locker.

Seriously, either option works but extreme green and red is gonna look like ****. I wonder if you could add a set of casters to that locker and make it a stand alone.

I just reread your post and I don't know how you could add the locker to the end cab or vice versa since they are both made to hang off the roll cab

that is the Dilemma. both the locker and end cab have hooks on both sides to hang on the main box.

there isn't a lot of bottom support on the locker to add casters.. that was my first thought. the hooks wold have to be cut off one or the other to get it to work.

I think the end cab would hold the weight of the locker, but I don't think the locker would hold the weight of the end cab. it that makes sense.

if I moved the end cab to the other box and put the lock on the main box, I could add two bulk cabinets overhead down the road. if the locker is on the end of the end cab, the gap in the top would not allow that to happen

I sold the red box and bought a cranberry. it doesn't look near as bad as one would think. trust me I wanted another green box to have a wall of green, but price determined my choice here. lighting is horrible since there is a car without a motor on the lift blocking the light for pics

put the locker on the green set up, hang the green side cab on cranberry and then **** them tight to each other. It will look like green is all together and cranberry was parked against them.

Well I tried hanging the right side opening locker on left side of the cranberry.

Looked great... one design flaw. Two trims butter against each other won’t allow the door to be opened...

So I built a subframe for it. 2x1.5” 1/8” wall box tube. With a six in caster it’s perfect height. I added a support cross member after this pic was taken. Works for me.

Looks pretty good AB. I'd suggest you get a monitor the same width (as close as) the opening and hang it up with the top even with the top of the cabinet and hutch. Then a keyboard on a hanging extension shelf. Then it'd fill that top area and still leave you with an open area on the end cabinet to toss **** on. ;)

Oops scratch that idear I just noticed you already have a shallow cabinet up there. Oh well, it still looks good :p

Here's a question - would the frame you built also fit the drawer extension? If you removed the drawer unit, hung the locker in its place, sat the drawer unit on the frame you built, you'd effectively have a roll around cart to use too..

No idea if that would work, and I agree the current setup looks the best, but this might give you more usability no?

no. they are different widths. the locker is 24" wide and the end cab is 19.5". I have a small roll cart. the cranberry box is moving to the other wall once my shop is in order so this was the best setup I could come up with temporarily

I agree with this idea, cut down the new frame to fit the end cab, mount the locker on the box and use the end cab as a rolling box/ work table. When not in use, store end cab next to the locker so it looks like 1 solid unit. Just my 2 cents

when my shop is done with the reorganization process the red box is moving to the other side of the shop. so if the locker is mounted on the box and the end cab is on wheels it'll be a stand alone and look stupid... I also painted a lista locker the same color and set it on top which can be seen in the pic above. that would also make it extremely heavy and a smaller foot print than the locker itself.
I already have a tool cart.

quick update... while the caster subframe setup worked temporarily it wasn't ideal. I wouldn't recommend making one. I didn't want to cut the lip off the end cab or the locker as I had bigger plans down the road. Traded a 700 dollar car for another green 1022. if I would have cut the lip off the end cab to hang the locker on it, I wouldn't have been able to use the end cab to tie the two boxes together.

Just wish I would have found the trade deal 3-4 months prior to buying the cranberry :(
