Good deal depending on shipping, but they are not in stock.

I looked at that one when I was trying to choose a compressor for myself, but $315 shipping to IL killed it for me. For $799, I could have just gotten the exact same unit brand new from Lowe's.

It's free to have it shipped to the store, they're on back order but suppose to be back in stock on the 25th. If it wasn't free to have it shipped to store I probably wouldn't do it. What do you guys think of the compressor? CFM? Etc...? I need something that can run my 1/2 impact, air ratchets, die grinder, etc..

I'm happy with my 5 hp 60 gallon, so I would think a 3 cylinder 80 gallon would be even better. About the only reason to go bigger than that is if you have a giant blast cabinet in your future. Seems a little weird that there are so many reconditioned available though.

that 80 gallon compressor will run everything in the shop including a blast cabinet to an extent.

for $500 that is such a steal!

Buy what you want, but that looks like more Chinese junk with an Americanized name.

I'd be happy to be proven wrong but sure looks that way to me.

Well it looks to be a whole lot better than some of the "junk" harbor freight sells, it's cast iron instead of aluminum with cast iron cylinder sleeves and it's not some cheap oil-less compressor either. But, I will find out soon enough how well it will do but haven't been able to find anything bad about these compressors yet.

Jwilliam, are you referring to HF in general or the US General compressors at HF?

The US General compressors are great and a very good deal for most. NOT Chinese made.
