Darn, bad timing for me, I just finished ordering a Kmart item to use up a Kmart-specific freecash. (At least it worked this time... had to waste the last one they gave me a couple weeks ago when the site malfunctioned at the last minute.)

Lots of good deals going on though, thanks for posting them!

PS: When I price-adjusted an item in chat tonight, the points showed up immediately despite the chat rep giving the 7-10 days blurb. I also learned that as long as you're not trying to use a freecash offer at the same time, and as long as it's not an item where the Kmart or Sears listing has been demoted behind a marketplace seller's listing, chat is capable of giving free shipping if you need it outside of PS hours.

Did you get your $3 immediately? Chat is telling me it takes 72hr for my $5 to get in my account from price protection wth

I am not in a hurry, but with this sale going on, I want to have my points asap.

my price protection has always been immediate, regardless of what the chat rep says, with the exception of the few times ive requested it to go back on my card. in the last 24 hours ive price protected 2 accounts and both were immediate.

I always ask to have the points posted immediately. This morning I got a guy that said they could not do price protection because it was a hot buy, putty knife/scraper, but the second guy had no problem.

Thank you both. I knew that was just weird that I do not get my points immediately. Busy day at the office, so I was in a hurry when chatting. I should have opened another chat with different cs, but just do not have time today.

Oh well... I am giving Sears a break this time since they have given me all of these tools

I don't know if it's just a matter of the way the rep does the refund or if the amount of points affects it too, but my chat rep gave me the 7-10 days spiel even as the points appeared in my account instantly. Even if you don't want to spend them right away, that's for the best so you know if you didn't receive the full amount promised and so you need to ask for more points to be issued manually. That often happens to me due to using freecash on the original order. I only got $2.** at first and had to ask for the rest - the rep had no problem doing the correction, but I had to know to ask.

I won the evening $5! :bounce: First time in I don't know how many weeks to win one that big. Great timing with this sale going on! Now I'm almost back up to $10 to use on a $5-off-$15 order.

Anyone that spent $100 yesterday, were your points added yet? They state they will be added the "same day" but I haven't received mine yet. Hoping to use it while there are still some awesome deals to be had with this blowout sale.

I think you don't get the points till you pick up your items. Or if they're being shipped to your home, then I think it's when they ship (rather than when they arrive).

Yes... I spent over $100 and the $15 was added within the hour. However, I think the "$15 on $100" offer might have been only for items priced at $100+... as I don't recall seeing that listed for any of the items <$100.

Have you actually tried it in cart?

I've been using freecash (surprise points) offers for many years, and don't remember 'Hot Buy' blocking any of them.

My account is empty of them right now, so can't test it on my end.

Freecash surprise points should work fine, unless they've changed something. It's only coupons that won't work, normally.

I received a text this afternoon offering me some kind of additional freecash, but clicking the link just gave me the dreaded coupon center page so I don't have any new offers to test with.

I posted all my current freecashes' blurbs earlier - "Items sold by Sears. Excludes TVs, Lands' End, all coupons and other FREECASH in points."

Friday expected game schedule:
11am-12pm CT $3 bonus in app
2-3pm CT $2 WW Xtra
3-4:30pm CT $4 bonus in app
6:30-9pm CT $5 bonus in app
7-8pm CT $5 WW Xtra

Well, that's a game changer. A lot of freecash offers have already become hard to use with their high minimums, so adding a 'Hot Buy' exclusion is just ridiculous.

I know with the recent Ovation mixer $99.99 'Hot Buy', many on SD were bragging about getting another $15 or $25 off using their freecash. So, I'm hoping this exclusion is limited to only a few freecash offers.

Yes, hopefully it will only be for the new ones offered during this special sale (and they won't make a habit of it during the constant lesser sales). I just retrieved the app freecash and tested with Hot Buys, and that one still works, phew.

On another topic, I am astounded that I just won a $5 game for the second day in a row! :wtf:  Going to be able to order a little more stuff than I expected!

If not for the $5, I would've only won $0.25 on Friday despite playing everything.

Yesterday I received a single text from Sears and a single text from Kmart, each offering an unspecified freecash. But both links were useless, only taking me to the coupon center. I have not received any additional texts since those yet.

When working properly, the texted link should take you to a "Vibes" page that loads the offer into your account. Did you see that, or just the coupon center?

I guess my string of bad Saturdays and Sundays is finally broken after 3 weeks.

Randomly got 50c, 15c, 10c, then one final 50c for $1.40.

Haven't seen many Win List/XTRA days like that since the BK.

It seems to actually be cumulative during the sale. I spent like $40 over the course of this sale and everything over $60 now says I’ll get $15 back.

It didn’t exclude the ovation but you were better off buying the ovation at $99 and getting the $15 back then combining it with the coupon to get something for $30 for free if you’re still near a Sears. I’ve had coupons that say they exclude hot buys work, just luck of the draw.

Does anybody know exactly when this Blowout ends (an email hints 10/5/19) and if the "Hot Buy" prices are part of that or are separate?

The reason I ask is, they really have some low prices on some shippable KMart cat food that a family member wants as the prices are lower than even Wal-Mart right now.

We are hoping the price stays the same but they did send a screenshot proving the lower price to their PS just in case.

All items participating in the blowout event sale are marked as "Hot Buy"s. But this designation is used all the time for other random one-off sale items, and I don't know if they turned it off on all pre-blowout Hot Buys before starting the blowout. The blowout event prices are now clearly stated in multiple places to be intended to remain the same price through Oct 5, but many items may sell out before that date. (And when the blowout prices kick in in-store tomorrow, Sep 15, sell-outs may accelerate.)

Thanks for the info. :)

I just know that they have some items confusing like the KMart washcloth I got before.

It definitely was not listed as "Hot Buy" when I purchased it but it is now that the Blowout started.

Yet there is a "Through 09/18/19 All Items On Sale" on it's Item Page.

I wonder if that could be left over though as before the Blowout, it was on sale for $2.29 and would fluctuate, but now it says "Hot Buy $1.99" but I'd think it would last until 10/5 like everything else.

Nice finds.

I just found a pair of hedge shears that are $19.99 originally but $6.84 now.

Hedge Shears

Great timing as my hedge shears (Fiskar's 23 inch) just broke with the blades falling out as I was trimming.

Supposed to get another pair soon with the Lifetime Warranty but still waiting for response and not sure if warranty ends with replacement or continues.

Figured nab a backup as $6.94 not bad.

Yeah, those are on my 'maybe if I get more points in time' list too. Fiskars warranty should continue on your replacement pair, but at that price, having a backup for while you wait weeks for replacements sounds like a good idea. I would go with Fiskars myself, but Sears doesn't sell them anymore (I got a small Fiskars pruner from Sears several years ago).

Guessing this is the vibes page. Wonder if I need the app to link it to my account when I click shop now it goes to my account in my browser just doesn't show the free $8.

Yes, that is the type of webpage that should trigger the offer to get added to your account. (If you look at the URL in your browser address bar, those pages are always on a domain with the word "vibes" in it, like how we're on the "garagejournal" domain here.) Clicking the button after you're on that page doesn't have anything to do with the offer getting added to your account, it should have already happened just from seeing that page.

People who received new texted freecash offers in the last few days were saying these offers WON'T work on the super-low blowout sale items. ( ) Try putting something NOT on sale that costs more than $8 in your cart, and see if you see the $8 then. If you still can't get it to work on a non-sale item, try complaining to chat and they just might give you $8 to make up for it.

I emailed friends about using freecash on online items marked 'Hot Buy', and one of them replied with an interesting observation.

Every week, her Kmart Points Center email contains the lame $5 off $50 freecash offer. She still has the older emails, so she checked the exclusions.

9/5 email:

"...Limit one offer per transaction. Offer points cannot be used on TVs,..."

9/13 email:

"...Limit one offer per transaction. Offer points cannot be used on Hotbuy items, TV's,..."
