From 1978-1983 my grandfather owned a John Deere dealership, my dad started working there in 1980 as kind of a manager/anything else that he needed to be. My dad bought some tools along the way, and he still has a few.
First is a TY3517 1-1/16 combo wrench made by Bonney. This one was part of a 4 piece set that didn't sell, so my dad bought it at dealer price. I have no idea where the other 3 are.
Second is not an official John Deere tool, it's a sample of a promotional multi bit screwdriver that was given to the dealership, they never bought any so this is the only one. There aren't any other markings on it besides the dealership name and address and W. Germany. There were other bits, but they are long gone.
Third is a TY3426 push drill. I think Stanley made it, there aren't any patents, and the only other markings besides John Deere are Made in USA and USA.

Fourth is a TY3401 level. Again, I don't know who made it, but the patent that's on there describes the method of attaching the vials. I have a Stanley level with the same patent.

I only have these two to share.

The TY3121 ratchet doesn't work. If I put Thorsen 77 guts in it, it works fine. It seems to be an imported knock-off of the Thorsen.

The TY3578 combo appears to be one of the Bonney-sourced "Loc-Rite" wrenches. I only have this 11/16, and didn't realize the Bonney connection until I saw this thread.

The ratchet is a Bonney as well, here's a picture from the 1977 Bonney catalog.

I had nearly a whole set of 1940s two-cylinder tractor wrenches I bought individually at a couple flea market sales. I sold them awhile back and made some money. Not sure if I regret it yet or not hahaha.

I scored this little gem for my father as a gift a year or two ago. Versatool. Its not a Deere tool, but has a Deere inscription stamped on it. I guess it was a handout for a plant or some group.

I've got another odd little Deere and Mansur double ended wrench. Not worth selling so it just hangs on the wall for now. Dad has a couple little pocket size tape measures that look like:

I also have a larger newer Deere tape measure I use. It looks like the attached image

XJ,

Thanks for posting that. I have a similar one stamped J.A. Sexauer, and I didn't know who the OEM was.

My research when I bought that one revealed there were several manufacturers that produced very similar gizmos like that. Maybe there is a PN somewhere that would help narrow it down for you. Unfortunately I don't have that tool here to check it.

John Deere tools warranty according to my dad was that they simply would replace the broken tool with a new one. No repair kits for any tools, at least during his time.
