C wrenches are in the 1938 Catalog MX as a range of 10 Ignition wrenches.

Supreme wrenches are S series.

Thanks snapmom and Humber. I noticed that the logo is different than this set. Here is a little Blue Point Supreme with a 1949 date code.

They are date coded from 1958 to 1962 except for the 1/4 X 5/16 which is not coded. That set includes all sizes made in that era including a 19/32 and a 25/32.

Blue Point E3466 wrench

This is a odd one. Never seen a model that starts with a E
Not in the cats. Would probably date late 30s to 40s. has a 11/16 opening, has made in USA. no date code. Tappet wrench.
I think it might be an industrial Engineer's Wrench.

I'll give it a shot:

Flathead Ford-Mercury-Lincoln. 13/16 spark plugs, 1/2 fits carburetor, fuel pump, and distributor. My other guess would be an 8N-9N Ford tractor.

I've been puttering about sorta tidying up my accumulation of oddball stuff, and came across two 9/16 x 5/8 DOE's - one Blue Points Chicago I haven't cleaned up yet, and a Supreme speed wrench.

Some different types of Blue Point Ratcheting Wrenches.
From what I have found. Started in mid 30s, in mid 50s, name was changed to Snap on.
Show up in the 40s and 50s cats. The number in a set seems to vary, from one to ?
Top to bottom.
RS2428 date code 48
RS3032 would date late 30s
ROEX-220 would date early 40s.
RB1416 would date mid 30s
Would guess that there are more types out there, post them if you have them

Got this DBE recently. I wonder what is the age (this does not look like any code I recognise)

Looks like a 1942 "2" to me. It had some flair to it, and when they were stamped deep like that, an almost oriental character look. And, that would match the construction, branding and other markings. A nice early war example.

Thank you, Lugz. It does not completely look like it. It looks like a circle with two diagonal lines sticking out (if you click on the images, they enlarge. I guess I never learned how to attach large images). Probably a defect in stamping...

I did enlarge it. I still think it's a 1942 "2". The way it is depicted in that chart does not do it as much justice as later charts or physical examples. I have a few. I'll try to round up some and snap some photos.

But it's not worth bickering over, that's for sure.

That 42 stamp is done in an indent so it looks like that. Here is a clearer one

That's what I was trying to explain to him. When they're not struck deep, they're clear. When they're deeper, it's hard to male out the "2" because of the circle from the edge of the die around it.

Here are a few more, one of which is starting to get deep, looking a little more like yours, Shelby, which is really deep. I know I have some deep ones somewhere. Probably my orphan sockets cabinet, which I can't get to right now. The "two diagonal lines" you are seeing are the space between the looping upper part of the "2" on the left and the body of the "2", and the space between the body of the "2" and the base on the lower right.

Just a footnote for the collectors. Any of the fold up sets of hex keys (Allen wrenches...) by Blue Point may very well have been made by Eklind Tool. This is true for at least the mid 1990's, perhaps for longer than that. To determine, look on the shank of the hex key for a stamped "ET" on it. The marking stamps in the die were changed whenever we did a "house brand" run. Companies we sold to didn't want the name Eklind Tool showing so it was abbreviated to "ET" for them. I don't recall if we did the long/short loose keys but do recall the fold up sets. Probably still have a half dozen or so. Thought the collectors of Blue Point might want to know this information.

That is a deep stamped 1942 for sure. I’ve seen plenty of them.

Thank you, Lugz, Oldtuleguy and Don!
Now I can add it properly to my growing table of what I have (I am keeping a word table size and manufacturers + dates on SO and Blue Point)

Here’s some random blue point wrenches I’ve collected/inherited. I think the DBE’s are all war period.

Also, a beat up adjustable that’s dual branded blue point / snap on.

I started going through the spoils of my find in the 2020 Garage Sale Thread and uncovered this old survivor - Blue Points 7/16 x 9/16 DOE.

Blue Point No. 519 Body Hammer. In 37-42 cats. has a 10" shaft. Quite rare. Factory handle. I do like to collect these, still need a few.

I have a Blue Point body hammer with the number 8 on it. It is not nearly as pretty as that red one though. The eye protection warning tells me it's fairly new. It is a hefty hammer.

Thank you, snapmom.

I found this X20 wrench today. AA taught me that these were introduced in 1927 and it looks like this one is dated 6-28.

I've had this little 5/16 combination wrench for a while and figured I'd share it since there are a lot of military tool collectors here. It is hard to read the part number due to the USAC stamp placement. I am going to guess that makes it a "war time" wrench.

Tom

Rather than make another post, I figured I'd just add the rest of my (measly) Blue Point wrench assortment using the edit feature.
