I only own chrome SO ratchets but was looking at a purchase of a cushion/soft grip and was wondering the grip can be changed for a hard handle?
Thanks

I've seen it done. I think Snap-On's cushion grip is about the dumbest thing I've seen them do in awhile. I've hated those things since they came out. I wish they gave the option for hard handles. When buying new I go with Chrome when I can. If the hard handle ratchets came back out I'd be all over them

There is Multiple threads here on this subject, You can interchange the New Hard Handles onto the Comfort grip models but depending on he Size of handle versus the size of the Ratchet used sometimes you have to do some drilling. I would do some searches and you should find Numerous threads with the required Info.

Are you kidding me......they are about the best thing besides dual 80, so comfortable. A big *** hard handle would be a down grade IMO. That's coming from a hard handle screwdriver owner that loves them.

chome handles are hands down my favorite, but i have a couple of the new soft grips and one of the old hard handles also. i like the hard grips better because they seem to wear longer. :)

It's not hard to convert them but sometimes you have to cut the shank of the ratchet. The soft grips are longer than the hard handles. When you take the soft off you may have to cut an inch off the end of the shank. Here's a couple 80 series I did.
