I put the cart together today and got to the part in the manual where it says to remove the plastic plug and install the 90* elbow, which attaches the hose to the diverter valve at the top. Is the thing clocked wrong or do I attach the fitting where the brass looking piece is instead of the plastic? If someone witha maxjax could please comment I would appreciate it!

TIA..

We just got our install finished up today, but I had assembled the cart a week or so ago and found the same problem. I ended up taking the painted plug out of the other side of the flow divider and putting the 90* fitting on the same side as the red plug and moved the painted plug to the other side. If you look close it should have "IN" stamped on the flow diverter above the plug. It seems to work fine. Not sure why they changed it; must be a recent design change or different factory prep procedure.

Cool, thanks for the quick response. I do recall seeing two "in" ports, one on either side. Guess that is what I will do as well. I've sent [email protected] a message as well...will let you know if they say anything differently, but I bet you are correct. Thanks again :D

No problem. Another FYI, I'm not sure if the resevior is slightly smaller than older units, but when the manual says to initially fill it with 7 quarts, you'll find just under 6 quarts will be full before the initial run and bleeding. I got about 5.9 quarts in the resevoir and 0.1 qts on the floor for not paying attention thinking it was going to take seven. Other than those few minor details, the rest is pretty straight forward.

The downloadable installation instructions are a newer revision and shows a different connection than the instruction booklet that came with my Maxjax.
