Quite Surprised by the finish and texture, polish and overall finish. Great Wrench set. Its comparable to my snap on set.

Good: Excellent finish, the fitment on the hardware head, length,

Cons: The ratcheting action (might get loose as i use them, but a little to stiff for my taste,

Actually to be honest with you i only needed 5/16" and 3/8" The most, the rest are going to hibernate in my box at work.

What's the COO?

I still see some Taiwan GearWrench tools. It's not clear to me if all the tool production has been moved to China, but there's still old Taiwan stock floating around, or if there are still some GearWrench tools being made in Taiwan.

It seems all the regular ratcheting wrenches I see are Chinese, though.

I got that set, i got off cripe, made in Taiwan. Funny thing I ordered the wrenches one or two days before got pneumonia, and was in hospital for 4 days
nice set, 5/16-1in, those wrenches are big

I'd be all over those if the ratcheting end was reversible. I think the closed end on one side and the closed ratcheting end on the other side is the perfect ratcheting wrench!

i've got the metric equivalent set and they are great for locking down alignment adjuster bolts. lots of leverage, easy on the hands, and TOUGH. haven't had one slip (ratchet side) yet and we usually double wrench and tighten just about as much as we can to make sure they don't slip (this is on a racecar that bounces over curbs, etc). some of my favorite wrenches!

i wish cripe had the metric set for $60 bucks like they do the SAE.... i almost ordered the SAE set, but i would so rarely use them i figured it would be a waste even at $60..

anyone know where to get the metrics at a decent price?

i too agree that a ratcheting end and a regular box on the same wrench is perfect!
