Ordered a Cman 77 pc HD set today and got a weedwhacker?!?!

I was anxiously waiting for my 77 pc Cman HD tool set to arrive today. Tracking # said it was delivered. I get home and the box seemed awfully long and skinny to be the set but hey, who knows I think to myself.

I start opening it and I see paperwork about extending the warranty, some battery info, and some coupons for free weed whacker line. I think hey, this is weird but Sears is always trying to upsell stuff, so whatever.

I remove the brown paper from the package revealing a 19.2v electric weedwhacker! :shocking::shocking::shocking:

What the heck is going on!??!?

I look online and my order # clearly says 77 pc HD set, $307 + s/h... and I am sitting here holding a $60 electric weedwhacker.

It's not a joke. I ordered a set of deep offset CM professional wrenches a couple years ago and they sent me a violin!!

They resent the wrenches and told me to keep the fiddle. I ended up selling the fiddle to a high school music student.

Sears is notorious for inaccurate order fulfillment.

I've never got a wrong item from Sears, but a couple of times I got random stuff that I didn't order included. I'm still using the satin pillowcases that came with my belt sander, and I got pretty good mileage out of the socks that came with the toaster oven.

Its happened to me also. I ordered a dewalt tile saw stand from Amazon, it was about a $50 item. I received a Husqvarna chain saw. The chainsaw box had the Dewalt table saw stand sticker on it, so they just picked it like it was the right item.

I kept it, the saw was about a $300 saw.

Oh saw this car in front of us yesterday, thought GJers would like this. BTW this guy doesn't know how to do right on red. He waited until green and there was no cross traffic :dunno:

First, there is no law that says you must go.

Second, I would rather have a person taking drivers ed. to wait rather than go through it, red or green. Too many idiots are out there driving that won't even stop, they will pull out right in front of you, with you having the green light.

I've ordered pin less impact swivels and received pinned swivels. I assumed they ran out and just sent the pinned ones but maybe they got mixed up.

Sears has always had a problem with mail order stuff. years ago I ordered a plastic router case and they sent full set of 3/4" sockets, breaker bar, etc.
I was honest and called them to report the problem. they said, "if you need the socket set, go ahead and keep it, it's too much hastle to do a mail return". The router case came the next day.
