I spent a lot of time looking at Band Saws and wanted something of high quality while being effective and efficeint. In addition, I desired something small enough to fit in my garage without pushing my cars out.

Well, I found it in the Femi saw which is sold out of Oklahoma. They are primarily Italian parts from what I understand. Needless to say, it cuts incredibly well, it's quiet and makes almost no mess. And none of those sparks and metal flying all over the place.

I could not be happier. Link to the product:

ZERO affiliation, just a damn good product people. I'll post my pics shortly.

Very nice! I'll second the price question. I don't cut much metal, but I might in the future. It looks like it would fit in the corner nicely when not in use.

I am not kidding, the quality is incredible, the cuts so precise you can split them with a penny, quick, clean, quiet, and easy as hell to use.

I cannot endorse a product more than this saw. It is not cheap, it is not Chinese, it is not ****, it is American, with Italian parts.

$1,200. Pull it out of the box and start sawing. I kid you not. I bought an extra blade for cutting aluminum and it ripped through a 2.5 inch SOLID aluminum piece in two minutes. No mess, very little noise, no sparks no problems.

The quality is very impressive, and the accuracy of the blade is stunning. The cuts are so damn straight it is just a damn pleasure to use the thing. I look forward to anything coming across my path that is metal and needs cutting. It is mighty mouse.

I bought it from Marth Swank at Femi 1-888-729-7787 x6255. She's a sweet lady and made me a fair deal on the product. Tell her I sent you and maybe she'll cut you a break too.

I have ZERO, ZERO affiliation with them. Just a damn good product that I just love.

(Arise thread, Arise!)

Bill,

Now that we are coming up on one year, what do you think of this saw? I cannot afford one yet, but I sure want one.

These have a lot of horse behind the blade. I wonder how hot the blade gets with longer cut times. I have looked at these and at the Taiwanese/chinese 7x12 options out there. Those use 96" blades, have a much larger foot print, have a coolant system, weigh 300#, havema hydraulic lowering arm but cost around $800 to 1500 depending on the paint job and which company's badge is on the front.

I too am very interested. Some on here have spoken very highly of the Milwaukee cold saw for about $400.

I too would like to hear if you are happy with the saw after using it for the last year.

I'm looking to replace my Milwaukee Dry Cut saw with the NG120....I'm tired of sweeping up metal chips in my shop. :shocking:

I have been in the steel industry for over thirty years and many of my customers have these saws.
I have never heard negative comments regarding Hemsaw.
