ok, here's what i've been doing with this table and fishing around other TGJ threads.
i haven't seen anything like this done with a bandsaw, but the table is level and at the same plane as the band saw's table.

the bandsaw took up a lot of floor space for what it is.. this lowered the floor space consumption and raised the saw, and has already made the long steel stock more managable when measuring and cutting.

it's not entirely tied together.. i'm showing this stage of the project to get feedback from TGJ. -- thanks.

kudos to srmofo for reminding me of a very important highlight... the receiver mount
like i said, this is incomplete, and the angle iron will provide a raised surface to support the saw and bolt locations for the saw to be fastened to this mount.

this whole thing is tack welded, right now..
the receivers are bolt mounted to the table since the table legs have dozens of factory holes.

If I'm understanding correctly, you would like to raise the bandsaw so it is even with the table. Which allows you up use the table to hold longer sticks of material. I say do it. I would use different piece than angle to make the spacer but I understand if you temporarily used the angle for mock up.

my $33 HF welding blankets arrived today.. so i spent some time on my lunch hour adding the 3 curtains to my single curtain.. they overlap by 2ft since that's what the spacing is between the rings on the blanket.

• i haven't decided which way the curtain will slide to be put-away.. but i think i'll be aiming for the left, away from the welding tables.

the good news is it hides my winter garage projects which i've been collecting all summer.
i'm focused on improving this half of the garage for a long, long time..

well, i decided this AC Arc Welder is difficult enough and i spent a lot of time getting the angle iron at the precise height.
i liked the results, so i moved forward with capping-off the tubing.

i did this tonight and applied the blue paint.
kind of a lot like i pictured since the day i bought the band saw.

Hey, man. -- Thanks.
For the past month, I've been working on business more than my garage..
I have some things in there I really want to finish.

Nearly 4 years later, I have a small update. I've had this clean bench I've used for years, but the past 2 years, the southern window has made a mess of the finish on the bench top (UV rays?). It's a very old top to a teacher's desk. I couldn't fuss with using this bench, but this week, I stripped the finish off easily with a drywall mud blade.

Here is a video that I made on how I'll use it: http://ep002.MachoDrone.comhttp://ep002.MachoDrone.comhttp://ep002.MachoDrone.com -- I was ribbing 2oolhound during a few spots during the video

Just read the whole thread and got inside your head a little It's kind of strange in there, but then again, you should see the inside of mine! Ha Ha!

I love all the choices you made and the thought processes leading to them and the ability to make a penny stretch into a dollar.

Very nice space. I'm jealous.

Luvit!

my garage has been a dumping ground for 3 years. ..in 2013 I changed careers. ..actually a few times since then. i;m getting the garage more presentable since this past december. i started a '65 corvair monza project in summer of '14, but that came to a halt.. i was really proud of my progress on it.. to make it awesome will require a ton of research which I hope to put time into again this year.. i wanna tear down that engine, or sell it as it is with the engine dropped. Thanks, man. I hope to make it just as nice as 3 years ago.
