My 14 pc SAE wrench set arrived missing the 7/16". It's turning into a nightmare trying to get them to ship me a replacement.

Did you call the phone number on the top of the packing slip inside the box? They were extremly easy to deal with when I was missing a wrench.

You could always just buy another 9 or 11 pc set, take the missing wrench, and return the rest if you cant get anywhere with a replacement.

...but I second the above post - I bought a socket set that had a couple of the same size sockets by accident and apex sent me replacements for the missing ones in about a week. Didnt need to fax them a receipt or anything.

Did anyone happen to pick up an extra of the GearWrench 3/8" 12pt deep metric socket set for $7.99, or see one still hanging in a store?

Ok, how's this. I'm just checking on the website, and they're now showing most sets at 70% off......BUT.........

THIS set is STILL showing at $80.09 even though it's been that way for weeks.

I do believe they jacked the "retail" price up to keep the prices the same. That's freaking shady.

THIS TORQUE WRENCH is a great deal. Looks like the Digitorque, which I've had for years. Great torque wrench and a killer price.

Does anyone have anything they would be willing to part with lol My outlet is cleaned out

Try ordering online for shipping on some of the sets, they shipped me two of the 14 pc SAE sets. I returned them because I bought them for 50% off originally and was able to return the new ones with the old receipt saving me roughly $30 per set.

Also who makes the 8 piece polished reversible ratcheting wrench sets? Is it Armstrong like the regular wrenches? Whats the manufacturers mark on the reversibles? I ordered a set for store pickup but cant get it for another couple days. Thanks

My craftsman industrial ratchet wrenches are the same as my craftsman ratchet wrenches that are about 6 years old. I dont know who makes them but I assume Armstrong because as far as I know these are the only two names that sell USA made modern ratchet wrenches.

I have a slight issue and want some insight. i ordered the full polish 23mm wrench from zoro to fill my set and what i received was the black oxide 23mm. I want to return it for the 23mm full polish but they do not even sell the full polish one. what would you guys do. i am leaning toward just getting my money back. Thoughts?

Was trying to get Craftsman 10pc Reversing Ratcheting Wrench Set but my local Sears Outlet didn't have them. Checked the web and one farter away listed it as in stock. Drove there and they didn't have it either, but I picked up this metric full polish 8pc Dual Ratcheting. The box did not list COO. I checked the 19mm and it did not list any COO either. Bought them (thinking maybe SK made them). Got home and looked at the other pieces, which all have China stamped on them. Now I've got to drive all the way back to return them. Kind of annoyed. At least I got the 1/2 torque wrench.

Yesterday I bought a metric 8pc full polish dual ratcheting set from sears outlet for $36. Came in a small box, no blow mold nor roll. I only checked the largest wrench, 19mm, and did not see a COO. After getting home I looked at the other wrenches and all of them had China stamped on them. Plus they are not reversible ratchets, but 'dual'. THe open end alledgely ratchets as well as the box end. Don't think I will be keeping them now for both the China and the gimmicky dual function. Especially since I can get the GearWrench ones (also made in China) on sale at sears now.

The ones you just linked to are nothing more than standard craftsman tools that you could buy at the regular Sears store

That professional use set is industrial.

I doubt it, I ordered one and can tell you with certainty tomorrow after they are delivered but the packaging list doesn't say "industrial", the parts numbers are all standard and the Craftsman industrial catalog doesnt include a 212 piece set. If they are industrial, bonus. I think they are just new old stock.

Thanks. They are going back today. Wish I had paid closer attention. Got caught up in all the 'finds'.

After comparing with my part numbers from the 300 piece that I think you are right I think these are nothing more than standard tools. Interesting marketing campaign using the words professional use. Half of the tools are the industrial line half of them are the traditional line.

Anybody want to buy the 10pc reversible ratcheting wrenches? Its the 5pc sae and 5pc mm set. Id like to pick up the full mm set posted earlier but want to get rid of these first. Only looking to get my money back on them since I threw away the box they came in already.

If someone wants SAE ill take metric.

I got my wrenches that were missing from my set today. They shipped them Wednesday. I couldn't be happier about the customer service from apex.

For my situation, I finally got one of my price protection credits, even though I got emails for both. I called back and even though it's now been three weeks since I requested them, I have to wait another "seven to 10 days" for it to process again. No escalation help or anything. Still disappointed in their service.

That is an awesome set... Only one showed up at my store, wish there had been more. We're down to random socket sets and combo wrenches (all SAE, except one set of ratcheting box ends.)

Okay, I have been searching Sears' site for some socket pull handles but nothing pops up. What other name do these extended leverage socket handles go by?

Edit: I figured out Flex Handle of which Sears offers one 3/4" for $35. I would prefer a 1/2" and 3/8" set.

I finally got the sets my dad bought me for Christmas and Ernst wrench racks. I got the two pack of the Ernst racks so one is left hand the right hand. I don't like the right hand style.

Today I received my 14 piece fractional wrench set. These polished wrenches are beautiful but as mentioned earlier are missing the sizes 1/4, 11/32, and 1-1/16. I'll have to keep my eyes open to complete the set.

My set delivered packed loose in a box with everything just rattling around. No packing material or anything These wrenches must be very tough considering that they are not dinged up or scratched up.

Also the receipt in the box states I was charged $279.75 total including shipping and sales tax. :scared: I figured if that was true these are going back. I signed on to Visa and saw I was actually charged ~ $90 total. :rocker:

My outlet is officially out of metric items (except the few mixed in with sets). I went up to see if I could get a small set of the polish wrenches, but even the RP industrials are sold out. I did notice they put some Gearwrench sockets out, and some Thorsen (Taiwan) torque wrenches.
