I'm guessing that the jack is made in the same factory in China as the Blue-Point jack sold by SO. But if it goes bad, the truck won't be coming around to deal with the warranty/service issues.

Diesel - Thats hilarious, cant believe people, but you know what, someone is going to buy it not knowing, the internet helps to weed these people out by being able to google just about anything, but there are always those people that dont do the research

Are people that stupid they would buy this from him?

For every one he sells he can buy two more.

I think I am going to offer him $75

wow look at this guys store
http://stores.ebay.com/Pittsburgh-J...432335016&_sid=58015456&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

It is basically Harbor Freight with at least double the price on everything.

He wants $20 for a $3 hammer that he probably used a 20% off coupon on. He even steals their images. AND HE SOLD 6 OF THEM!!!! AND HE CHARGES $7 for shipping. So he probably pockets A $20 bill for every one he sells.

You know what this means? HF has too low of prices.

lol at the people who pay those prices

He doesnt even need a storage room/garage for his Ebay store

If he's "smart" he could wait until after the item sells, then buy it online from HF and have them ship it right to his buyer. :lol_hitti

i doubt he could get away with that. harbor freight is not a drop shipper, so the package would have a receipt in it, with prices.

he probably drives to harbor freight every day or two, buys the items he sold on ebay, and sends them off.

Slimy.

Would it really matter though?

Other than of course slapping the customer in the face, but technically he is doing them a favor.

The Harbor Freight jack is the same jack as the POWERSATION / NOS NSJ0302. See picture below. This is the same company that distributes (makes???) the ARCAN line of jack. POWERSTATION / Arcan had only one aluminum jack until recently but now, has added some more to their lineup. The aluminum jacks are now sold under the NOS brand. The steel jacks are sold under the ARCAN brand.

http://www.powerstationusa.com/brands/NOS/?s2=Aluminum Service Jacks&s1=Lifting Equipment

So both POWERSTATION / Arcan and HF get their jacks from the same supplier.

Amazon sells the NJS0302 FOR $327.02.

While it looks immoral on the surface, marking up products and selling them for profit is what every business does. He is doing no different than what thousands of other businesses do. To be honest, it's actually pretty smart. Lazy, but smart.

However, I don't agree with his use of search manipulation and I reported his ***.

Yup, he is just selling stuff. If people buy it, they buy it. I am also reporting for search violations.

Some needs to turn him in to ebay, its against policy to say something is like some something else. As soon as someone from SO sees it he will be gone.

I sent him a question asking why I should buy what he is selling vs buying at HF.

Answer "go for it"

Looks like he is selling them just fine. I suppose if you don't have a good source for tools...

I wish some of those suckers would bid my stuff up like that! Alot of times I get more at the flee market for stuff than ebay. People that live very far from stores might buy it?

Possible that some people just don't know better, or people that have a predisposition to thinking that "NEW!" is going to be better than "used" regardless of what the item is.

HF has a bunch of stores, to be sure, but they don't seem to have that "critical mass" of stores that makes them ubiquitous and a known quantity to everyone.

I have no problem with folks reselling HF junk on eBay and making a profit on it. But I have a big problem with keyword spam. Who the hell wants to see this HF garbage when you're searching for Snap-on?

Too bad eBay does so little to shut down improper listings. Hopefully Snap-on's VeRO police will get wind of this seller. They will do a lot more to limit his practices than eBay will.
