Ratchet and tow straps at northern tool

My northern tool has 27' 10000lb ratchet straps on sale for 9.99 till Saturday. They are normally 20. They also had 30'x4" tow straps for $20 normally $60

Rats, I would have been in for a tow strap but there are no stores near by. That's a great deal on a 4" 30' strap!

That is a good price, though I stocked up at Menards for $8.99 for the Keeper 27' 10k straps this fall.

The tow straps appear to be in store only. Didn't see them on their website for $20. The ratchet straps are linked above.

Seems to be that time of year. The Keeper 2"x27's are supposed to be on Amazon's "Truck Tuesday Lightning Deals tomorrow." The email says 48% off, which if they take that off their current price of $19.68 that'd put it pretty close to $10.

I just wish the flat hooks were an option, prefer those for my stake pockets.

I also saw my HD had no-name 2"x27's in a separate end-aisle display in the lumber dept for around $13.

Seems too cheap for the ratchet straps. If you go down in the product questions and answers they are not DOT approved. Just an FYI as it is being enforced more than ever.

If using them on the road and they don't have a rating on the ratchet and strap they count as not being there and result in a ticket. At least here it is that way. Good for shop and other use though.

I always find that you get what you pay for with ratchet straps, bungee cord, and tarp straps.

Yep, they wanted $15 to ship me three, making them effectively $15 per strap. I'm gonna wait for the Amazon deal and see if they still allow FSSS on lightning deals...?

Nope, "Free Super Saver Shipping" is available on the majority of items if the purchase is over $25. Prime allows you to make that 2 day shipping instead of the cheapest, slowest method possible which is usually parcel post or Fedex Smartpost (very slow).

But it looks like they're gonna take the alleged 48% off their list price of $26.51 making each strap $13.79. If other items are an indicator, looks like FSSS should still be available. I might still pick up a couple, allows me to not support Home Depot.

Totally! I got there 18 minutes into it and they claim they're gone. I wonder how many they truly had to sell.

I just ordered 6 from Northern. At that qty they were just under $14 shipped per strap and I was just prepared to pay $13.78 at Amazon.

TSC is also opening a store an hour south of me (gonna put the hurt on Big R, not that I care), but I rarely drive down that way.

Just wanted to mention that I found a 30' x 4" tow strap (sort of a neon greenish color) at the Omaha, NE location for $9.99 on 12/31. I think I got the last one. I had visited the store two weeks earlier and looked for the straps due to this thread, and they had about 50 of them...but they weren't discounted yet.

Secondary score: 65' Greenlee metal fish tape, $4.50...normal price, $44.95. They had several left.

I figure I left the store with more than $100 in merchandise for less than $20!

If you could hook a brother up on one of those greenlee fish tapes I would make it worth your while?

Actually after further review, you can get a 65ft greenlee fish tape on ebay for $18.95 shipped so it really wouldn't be worth him wasting his time for us, IMHO
