Hello, my name is Mike. I have been creeping on these forums for a while now and figured I would join in on the fun! I'm 28, just got married to my beautiful wife on July 6th, and this is my garage.
We decided to build our first home, we moved in on Aug. 1st and now I'm tackling finishing my garage. It is 22D x 32L, 12' ceiling, 3rd car is offset (for looks) 2 car door is 7' and 3rd car door is 9' (to fit my truck).

Here are 2 pics of the garage all framed.

Finally she has a home! (05 Silverado Z71, 18" of lift, 42" tires, 8' 6" at the roof line)

Here is a pic of the 2 car section. Only fire coded, looks like ****.

Now the fun begins, I finished the dry wall in the 3rd car, mud and taped, also went back over the **** joints and seams on the fire coded section of the 2 car, and started to prime the drywall to prep it for paint.

Took me a while but I finally came up with a color scheme, decided to do with a grey upper and ceiling, red stripe (12" thick), black lower section, time to tape it off.

I also add a bunch of outlets, you never know when you'll need em'!

Grey is done.

Here it is with the red stripe all finished. (The pic make the red look blotchy, it has a uniform finish in person)

Here is a pic of an old fridge that I acquired through a family member, I painted the doors (pain in my a**, and wrapped the rest in black vinyl, added some vinyl diamond plate for flair. Now it's the beer fridge :D

Next up is black, I haven't finished it yet but got part of the 2 car done yesterday. Here's what it looks like so far.

That's it so far, let me know what you think, or if you have any ideas for decor. I'm open to any suggestions. I'll keep you all posted on the progress!

Nice garage, nice truck.

What is parked in the other 2 garages?

the wife's 2010 KIA Optima SX-T :(
2011 Cadillac Escalade
And I'm trying to get a guy to let go of his 1960 Cadillac coupe deVille  haha

Beautiful. This is going to be one to envy.

the wife's 2009 KIA Optima SX-T

I have the '11 and love it, but I'll be letting go of it in a few months. Big difference between the two generations.

Welcome and nice house/garage.looks like if you painted a red stripe on top of the beer frig it would match the wall..looks like top of frig is same height as top of stripe, was that planed.

I made a mistake, hers is actually a 2010, I don't think they made an SX in '09 :lol_hitti, she loves it, and she drives it so that's what matters!
And BTW, I looked at your garage...Beautifully done! very tasteful!

It wasn't planned, but I noticed that also, I thought about painting the stripe across the fridge but decided against it. I may run a 1" red stripe down the fridge right next to the diamond plate vinyl :dunno:

Thank you everyone for the kind words! I'm hoping to finish the painting today, get the garage cleaned up, and add some shelving. After that will be the workbench!

Back with a few updates! I have hung the shelves and all the painting is finally finished.

Here are the shelves (I painted the ends black, the wood didn't look good)

Back again with another update. I finally finished the workbench, I just went with a simple design that was tall enough to fit a toolbox I'm looking at under it.

Here is a pic of it finished.
IMG_0804_zps9c13a315.jpg

Then I went on to finish the counter top to match the rest of the garage. The legs will get painted when it warms up a little bit. It's freezing outside!
IMG_0814_zpsd3102c23.jpg

Next on the agenda was installing the heater, I was iffy at first, but this thing works great, it kept the garage 50-58°F, and it was 13°F outside. Can't beat it for the money. I also got the blower for it.
IMG_0824_zps285954a3.jpg

Along with that I hung up my old TV that I had laying around (40" Sharp). Perfect for the garage.

Here is a view of both.
