That's great! I was really disappointed with USPS but it made it and I hope that the pic keeps the fun memories alive. I couldn't find anything I knew you would like, so I came up with the Brick idea. Definitely enjoyed it, Merry Christmas xmas

Did you get my SS package? You said you got it, but USPS has it, and I'm not sure what this means? You haven't posted pics of your SS gift, so I guess you haven't gotten it?

I got a nice assortment of oldish tools and a neat Coast LED flashlight for EDC/keychain use. Will try to make room to take pics this weekend.

I have 2 quarts of Evaporust I bought to cleanup my grandfather's tools, but haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I might clean up some of these tools for use and discussion on ToolGuyd about neat vintage tool designs.

<--- Happy Camper.

Also, popcorn!

We never got around to plugging in our microwave in since moving in about 20 months ago. This might be a good reason to finally do it. =) I just (still) have to find a good place to put the microwave.

Many Thanks Duct Tape man!

No, I did get your package right on time, only opened it just last night(with my Family) so I will have pics up tonight.

I was referring to the gift I sent to My SS being screwed around by USPS. :lol_hitti

You guys get serious on this. Good to see. I'm afraid if I had joined in my 'gift' might not have been quite so generous. I mean who would want a first issue ******* with Marilyn?

Just kidding, to be sure.

Here's a huge thank you to MackMan. His choices were perfect. They were obviously well thought out.

He sent me three green handled pliers. The first is an SK mini long nose. are great. Next up are Diamond mini round nose pliers. The bronze pivot on the Diamond pliers is as smooth as silk. Last, but not least, an SK mini hose pincher. I tried it out this afternoon. It's far more efficient than the old school Hazet hose pincher that I've been using for years.

Sheeesh! I thought there is supposed to be a limit on the money spent. I haven't been a participant so I can say Monte's gift looks like it tops them all.

No limit on money spent. It's basically what you can afford so if someone can afford a little more then its up to the SS. This year rocked! Can't wait for next year LOL!!

Wow, I'd really like to hear some details about that craftsman box. Who ever repainted it did one hell of a job, removed rivets and all linkages, no over spray. B E A utiful.

I had to laugh at the SK "Metric Sizes for Imported Cars, Cycles and Machinery" :lol_hitti Kinda dates the set right there.

Awesome Monte and FJ432

Also, two new shirts; a Mobil 1 (my oil of choice) and a custom-printed "tool shirt" from a fellow GJ member accompanied a letter from Mr. and Mrs. Clause:

Monte,

I'm just happy that the package finally arrived. I went a little overboard because I think you bring a lot to the table with respects to informing the yanks on this site to the tools coming out or available in Europe.

Your box is one of my first attempts at restoration with respects to powder coating. It seems appropriate that the dove gray color was my attempt at trying to match a Mercedes sedan I fell in love with in my youth. It was the same dove gray with a navy leather interior.

Happy New Year.

Finally got home and time to rip into my Secret Santa gift I found under the tree.

Caleb knocked it out of the park on this one!

Mini prybar, hobo spork, really cool tactical pen, VW badge and a very sweet Plumb 1/4" ratchet and socket! I was really hoping he had included a real corn dog, but the Xcelite #2 Phillips was a great substitute.

Thanks a bunch for everything including the nice card.

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas holiday.

Thank you Freddy (Phobo)
I saw the mail-lady put the package in the box and guessed my gift finally arrived!

It did.

You nailed it. I love the made in Germany quality NWS and Knipex pliers.

I have no problems with them being broken in.

That inspection light is bright. It will be great looking into boilers and such.

Thanks again and have a great and happy new year.

Jim

Do we have a final number of people still waiting on gifts? Hope this year goes smooth without any BS:mad:!!

Well guys....I hate to be Debbie downer, but I got nothing. No communication from anyone either. I did contact BWP.

The GJSS secret Santa is really one of the neatest things I've seen or been a part of. To think that a bunch of people, literally all around the world can come together in common interest and pull off what we do is amazing. The secret Santa is almost becoming an institution. I tell friends about it and they can't believe what you all...what we all do for each other...not only in this SS, but across the forum throughout the year. I don't need a gift. It's not what I signed up for. I enjoyed scouring my recipients posts (in both years I've participated) and trying to challenge myself to come up with something good to do for an otherwise complete stranger. I'm only speaking up now in sincere interest of preserving this great event.
