Old Parker vise info

I picked up this vise yesterday at a yard sale and was trying to find some info on it. I've checked on the internet but I wasn't able to find any info on this model number. It seems to be in great shape and works well. Somebody here is far more informed than I am. It says model 000 pat. May28th, Nov.26th, Dec. 10-17th. 1867 The little fork that secures the handle says Nov. 26th 1867. The jaws are 3 1/4" wide. Any info would be appreciated. factory color? there is a bit of industrial grey as well as some faded yellow on it. Any guess as to the value as well Thanks, Eric

I may be wrong, but I have my doubts about the current paint being factory original. What was the original color - I'm not sure. But the gray just doesn't look "right" to me.

Value - Take a look at Ebay's completed for Parker 3 1/2" vises to get an idea of the going rate that you can get out of it. Generally speaking, most of us on the board go through the time and pain to find good deals and don't buy "full retail" prices off ebay, but browsing through the completed listings like I mentioned above would give you some idea. I would ballpark it around $125.

The cool thing is, is that's a really early Parker, and there may be a few of us (like myself) that would be interested in adding it to the collection. Take the time to look through Ebay to educate yourself a bit about prices of similar vises and let me know what you plan to do with it.

Where are you located, btw? Different areas have drastically different "values" of vises.
