Motor rotor assembly missing gov spring

For double coverage I'm asking out in the open instead of my garage (yes, already posted on OWWM too)...

I'm reassembling the motor now, new wires have been cut in. Coil has been wired up and placed in the OL end. Now rotor is going in. Before it does...

The rotor assembly is missing one governor side spring (pn: 5200990).
- Should I replace it?
- Can I find a replacement spring? If so, where?

Motor is a Craftsman 115.6962 1/2HP

Thanks yall.

The PN is no longer manf. according to the Sears Replacement parts. I probably have to do a retrofit with a new spring unless I find a used part off a parts motor.

Davefr, thanks for the link. I may just pull the old one off and measure/order two new replacements just to get on with it and save searching.

If all else fails hit up some garage sales and buy a couple dirt cheap motors and take the spring out of one.

So using the site Davefr gave me I found two options for the spring that best fits my measurements.

I'm thinking the stainless spring for the working environment. The specs are very close to each other it doesn't seem like much of a difference to matter. But then again, I have no idea how much load these little springs withstand from the rotor assembly.

Thoughts?

To bring this thread full circle...

I purchased multiples of both 80169 and 80169S.

I installed the 80169 Music Spring. Reading a spring chart pdf the stainless part maintains some magnetic properties due to the coating. Didn't know if that would cause or be interference in a motor. And the music spring is durable and good for cyclic applications.
