So about a month ago I picked up Bosch MX30 Oscillating Multi Tool to finish the neverending bathroom job that's going on in my house. It's been working good so far and I'm suprised at what it can do. Honestly, not sure how I got this far into the redesign without it.

I was wondering what other people are using theirs for? I've got a couple of projects around the house that I've been avoiding but I think this tool will help me do the job much quicker.

I use my dremel oscillating tool all the time. The only thing that ***** is quality blades are so expensive and don't seem to last long. I used mine this past week to undercut door frames and trim to install some laminate flooring. I've used it for all kinds of projects and cutting. I have just about every saw you could think of and they all serve their purpose, the oscillating tool isn't a one saw does it all thing like the tools claim but it sure comes in handy for certain things.

Another great positive is it's a lot safer then most saws so I can let the kids use it without worrying to much.

I've used my Rockwell made one for all sorts of jobs. From cutting trim to patching drywall and cement board. I've even cut though nails with it.

I have a mahogany deck that needs sections of the boards replaced every year. I use the oscillating tool to cut out the offending section so that I don't have to replace the full length that may still be good. I like that it can get into tight places and leaves a small kerf.

Signcrafter: Good point about it being relatively safe for kids. Maybe I can put mine to work and cut down my "to do" list haha.

Jakemac: That's a great idea; cutting out sections of the deck. Very savvy, I may use that idea for one of my projects.

Mine is just the cheap Harbor Freight one, which works great. I also picked up a 3/4" blade which gets into smaller places. As Signcrafter said above they are great when installing laminate flooring. I also have used it with the plain blade for removing old caulking. My wife liked it so much she claimed it for herself.
