Just about finished my Racedeck Tuffshield install, have to order a few more tiles as I ordered the EXACT (duh) amount needed and made one miss cut and forget about some indented spots that are going to need a short cutoff. The garage is an oversized two car, about 730 sq. ft floor. The overhead doors are each 10' x 8.
Because of the garage width I ended up having to rip a tile in half along the outside edge so as to end up with 6" on each side, rather than a one foot section. Extra work but worth it to look balanced. The tiles rip easy with a table saw and sharp blade. I put down the synthetic agricultural felt as a precaution against the clicky-clack, don't know if it really did anything much.
Install was as easy as everyone says. Once you get the perimeter going you're just filling in and making cuts. Table saw works great for rips, jig saw with a fine blade for more intricate cuts.
My biggest fear about using Racedeck is it would have a weird rebound clackity sound. Although it doesn't have that, it definitely does have a "sound". Hard to describe but there is no doubt you are walking on a polypropylene floor. I'm hoping it's an acquired taste. It's definitely going to be easier on the knees to crawl around on. The "Tuffshield" tiles cost more than the regular, but as you can see they are quite shiny. I am hoping the "Tuff" part is true and worth the extra $$. It is not a work garage, and the cars are not used in the winter or inclement weather so there is no drainage issues.
By the way, the left car is a new 2014 Dodge Viper Time Attack model, and the Lambo is a 2008 Gallardo Superleggera. Both V10's....
If anyone has any questions feel free.
