I see that they sell both brands. Which one is better and why?
Sam's Club LED Shop Lights, Honeywell or Lights of America. Which is better?

Do you already have fixtures with T8 bulbs? If so check out this company: https://hyperikon.com/
Hyperikon bulbs are sold on Amazon.....Some can be installed without removing the ballast.
To answer your question: are the bulbs replaceable in either one? Sure they are supposed to last 25 years, but will they? I have already burned up one 10 year warranty Cree bulb in 9 months.

I have the Sam's...very bright!
Couple of things......the Honeywell have the power cord coming out the top making flush mount a problem and the tubes the individual LED can be seen vs frosted tube causing hot spot glare. Both of these features make the unit far less desirable.
As far a longevity......I would keep the receipts and proof of purchase on all of these LED fixtures in a known safe spot.

Do the lights of America have a frosted lens? Are you able to flush mount them? My local Sam's only stocks the honeywell and I'm wondering if I should order the lights of America ones.
My Lights of America are not frosted.

"Yes, these can be mounted directly to the ceiling, however, you will need the plastic clips that we supply. Please contact Lights of America customer service at 800-321-8100 and state that you would like them to send you plastic clips for the LED Shoplight."
I Called - a person actually answered the phone - I gave my name/address - the person said they would send them right out. That was about 5 days ago - haven't received them yet.

The first two LOA Shop Lights I bought in the store at Sam's Club about a year ago. They came with 4 mounting chains & "S" hooks. With chains to both sides at both ends of the light - it was very stable even with a good breeze thought the garage.
Sam's no longer carry them In-Store, so I ordered 14 of them on-line. Actually 7 TwoPacks. I'm replacing 6 each, 8' long - 40 Watt, Double Tube fluorescent fixtures. IN my 24'x42' four car garage. Plus putting a couple local area lights over workbenches.
When the lights arrived - I was very disappointed to find that the lights LOA sent - now only contain 2 mounting chains & S hooks.
Which you are supposed to mount on the center of the light at each end.
This single chain on each end set up - lets the lights sway/rock back and forth in the wind. I am disappointed on two counts - the Picture of the light On Line at Sam’s Club still show 4 mounting chains, so if LOA changed anything from the previous models sold in the stores -THEY Should Have Made That Change Clear To Their Customers. I’m also disappointed that LOA felt it necessary to saves what? - $0.25 by eliminating two of the chains!!
This change may seem small - but it lowers the over-all “Quality" of the light in my opinion. The result was I - the Custom - had to go to ACE Hardware - and buy additional lengths of chain and additional “S” hooks - to mount them with the stability I expected in the first place. Very disappointed that so little thought was given to the Customer Quality by LOA.
The LOA’s are marked “assembled in the USA” - where the Honeywell lights show “made in China”. The Honeywell Lights clearly show only 2 mounting chains. For some reason the Honeywell lights are more expensive at this point.

I have the Costco, bought 10 and I like them.
Checked price yesterday and local stor has them down to $24.99. Not a sale , lowered price.

It was started and is maintained by a lighting professional, that has taken a LOT of his time to research and report on good, SAFE, LED lighting for all of us.
I just find it odd that practically every day there is yet another new thread about "has anyone tried this cheap, China LED bulb/fixture?"

If they actually measured ..........they might be surprised.......with a focused beam and the amount light spread or lack of. My LED flashlight is really bright but would make a crappy ceiling shop light.

On the flip side, there are many here who believe, that unless you pay a lot of money for something, it simply cannot be quality, fully functional, or completed properly.
Can't speak for others here, but I have seemed to have been able, handle most tasks of my entire life, without, the guidance of a professional. Usually when I did, I ended up regretting my decision, anyway.
Most of the posts here, (including me) people seem to be happy, with both the lighting quality and the purchase price, of whatever LED setup they went for.
Why is that bad thing?
If the lighting professional feels left out, that's life. No one really seems to have a lot of regrets, for their lighting decisions. I don't have any.

Most of us have at least two eyeballs.
I compared my LED's to my old flickering florescents. Night and day difference. If my setup is not what a professional would have recommended, who cares? He won't be using my garage.
Unless we missed it, i didn't see where anyone wanted to hang LED flashlights, for shop lighting.
That would just be silly.

I am not near a Costco, but my Brother is and I asked him to get me one of the Costco Lights to compare to my Sam's LOA Lights.
He got me one and said it was $24.97.
He said that if the price ends in 97 it means it is probably a closeout item.
I wonder what they will replace it with, when, and how much it will cost.

Costco LED lights (all of them) are made by Feit. The last change they added a pull chain switch (which I'm glad I didn't get). They are always changing part numbers, often with no apparent effect. I have 16 of them in my shop and love them.

Lights of America are better. 2Packs Ordered on-line from Sam's cost less and LOA has Customer Service that actually answers the Phone. Plus if you want/need to mount them flush with the ceiling - they proved the brackets to so.
Honeywell package says "made in china" - AOL package says at least "assembled in the USA from imported parts" That alone makes me fell LOA are "better"
