Ooooh, those look early! I don't have any with "Defiance" on them. Neat find! After passing by dozens of Lectrolites since joining the forum, I finally bought two this weekend. Still need some cleanup.
Yep, confirmed on AA, likely 1930s to 1940s: http://alloy-artifacts.org/lectrolite-corp.html#historyOoooh, those look early! I don't have any with "Defiance" on them. Neat find!

They both have an extra C? That helps of so. Nothing definitive but could be 1935........working on those codesNo numbers that I see. The other side has "C Chrome Vanadium Steel" and the model number. (3004 & 3005)
Is there a separate number anywhere on the shank? It would likely be outside the depressed panel if there is one.

Cool Fairmount, Outlaw. I love to see the oddballs.
So actual size is more like 9/16 & 5/8?

Nice snag! 1927.Thought this was kind of odd.
I had to grab this old school Cornwell. It is 3/8 SAE by 7/16 SAE. Different measurement system, so larger 3/8 x 7/16 than we all know today.
^ Nice pickup Jake. Looks like a set.
I went to a "Moving Sale" at a farmhouse this past weekend. I have learned not to get my hopes up, but this one was over-the-top as the family was moving grandpa away from the family farm of 60 years. I had a heyday out there and could have spent all day. I came away with a trunk load of stuff including any DBE I could find. There were long C Craftsman, Indestro, and several others.
Sorry, you'll have to wait for me to sort through the box of stuff before I get pictures.
Until then, here's a photo of a few others I acquired in the past week.
Blackhawk 15818 (from a trade with another GJ member)
Penens 6428
Western Giant

I just got one of those Ford DBE wrenches too! It's a part of the barn sale I went to this weekend.
I see those a lot but never grab them. I have only snagged the ones with off forge marks for research.I have five of those Ford DBE's , (among over 30 Ford tools overall)

A couple years ago those were bringing decent money. It was from a lot, with a couple of DBE, although it's my first I see they are common as dirt. I have had couple of sellers point out DOE ford wrenches in a box lot. They claim they are the gems in a box full of Herbrand, Williams, and Billings!??!

We used to get them for a buddy's father that collected them. I never got out of the habit except when people thought they were gold...
