NICE! and it looks like you dragged some more goodies home too.

Try googling "Kimmerle Bros Inc". It looks like they closed fairly recently.

Kimmerle Brothers was a really long time tool sales and service company that actually carried tools and parts for what they were listed as dealers for. They mostly carried automotive air tools and shop equipment like jacks and such back when those places were the outlets for everything automotive service wise. I used to buy parts from them when I needed old or strange stock parts as they had a great stock between the many locations they had. The company that bought them got rid of everything by throwing everything away, they just wanted some of the locations and the phone numbers. That is what I was told when I called one of the locations about five years ago by whom ever answered the phone when I was looking for some parts. A different company name kind of threw me when I called so I had to ask. Back when I used to repair more air tools in the nineties there were many places like them all over the country but like most things the business has totally changed and are only a few left. Good luck finding anybody out in that area that can help because I don't think they like cars or anything to do with them on NoCal anymore.

Thanks for the help guys
I googled the name and found several different types of companies

Dodge610

I kind of thought the same thing when I first found it. I found an ad on ebay that said one simular to it raises 10 inches.

brooksdr

I noticed the same thing. I believe the jack is a late 20s early 30s unit.

You're right I did pretty well on this trip.
2 old jacks
2 old battery chargers
a 1938 Manley tire spreader
A bubble tire balancer and a brass tire pump
and a twist jack and pulley
Along with a Phillips 66 pole sign and pole (thats what got this trip started)

Thanks vssjim
It looks as if the company was a distributor rather than a manufacturer.

I like to freshen up just about everything I find. I agree it has style.

Just an outside shot but there are a few guys on line supplying jack parts and maybe one will recognize the jack and connect it to something similar to the one some jack manufacturer made for Kimmerle Bros. That is a real museum piece.

That's what I'm hopin. It is a good addition to my jack collection in the party garage.
I did some research and Google books has reprints of an old west coast magazine for drivers called Autoland and somebody mentioned a Kimmerle ad from 1922 in vol. 10-11, p49. After a lot of searching, I found it Across the top it said "Kimmerle Bros., manufacturers". then listed jacks and a few other tools. I still don't know if they had manufacturing capacity way back then or had it made. It was fun searching. I meant to ask, does it work?

I'd like to see that Kimmerle Ad

No the jack doesn't go up but the pump still moves in and out and it rolls very easy too

Interesting jack, got nuthin on that. But I do have that same battery charger, not in as nice a shape cosmetically, but works like a champ. Bought it at a swap meet at least 25 years ago, for $20. About 20 years ago it ended up outside, mostly due to space constraints. Been out in the weather ever since, and it just keeps on ticking. One of my friends commented "That thing would probably stop working if you brought it in".

Did you ever get the Kimkin Jack up and running? I've got one that needs TLC

FWIW, that plate looks like 1910-1920's to me - I'd narrow it to 1920 ± 5 years if I was forced to guess.

What a cool find! Would love to see it returned to functioning condition!

@don long -
As near as I can tell, the original (and primary) location for this company was the San Francisco address cited above. They apparently also had locations in Santa Fe Springs and Fresno.
Per the nice lady who answered the telephone at Jack X Change (which is who you get when you dial Kimmerle's Santa Fe Springs phone number), the company is no longer in business, and "Jack X Change" has no connection or affiliation with "Kimmerle".
