Just saw this on SlickDeals and thought you guys would be interested. These are all refurb kits but the prices seem to be very good. The seller is a DeWalt authorized seller and all its have a 1yr factory warranty and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Knock 20% off with the coupon code C20PRESDAY. Shipping is Free on all of these.

Dewalt DCK277C2R Combo Kit:

At least I think these are good deals.

EDIT: Note, if you use a card like Chase Freedom Rewards, you get a free extra year on the warranty. They do not exlude refurb items, only used and pre-owned.

EDIT2: I also got $1.90 eBay Bucks and $3.80 back from eBates, making my total only $146.30 shipped. It looks like both eBates and eBay Bucks are calculated off of the pre-coupon price.

Looks like the new ones have a three year warranty and the refurbs only have one year. Worth considering.

Also, do reconditioned tools from them have a good reputation? I have mixed experience with recon things. My recon Blendtec blender was brand new with a very long warranty. However, my recon Hitachi miter saw was cosmetically beat up, well-used and only came with a one year warranty vs. five years for new.

No need for anymore drills, but if anyone buys these, I'd be interested to see some pics of the condition they show up in!

Based on everything I have been able to find online, the reviews for DeWalt refurbished stuff indicates that they are like new condition. I only found one review that indicated anything but like new condition. I ordered the 283 kit so I'll find out soon enough. Since it's only been around a couple of months, it will be interesting to see.

I ordered the 283 kit and will post photos when I receive it.

Note: eBates just emailed me notinh that I got $3.80 cash back as well. So when combined with the eBay bucks and cash back, the 283 kit only cost me $146.30

Anyone receive theirs yet? Posts on Slickdeals range from receiving brand new units to cosmetically bad without a box.

I received mine, loose in the box (not at all happy about that). The drill looks brand new, the impact has some scratches on it, but I can't say that didn't come from their **** packing. Performance wise, they seem perfect based on my initial testing. There is no binding or grinding, they perform exactly like I would expect a new drill to do. The batteries came fully charged. It also came with the newer DCB112 versus the DCB101 shown in the images.

I'll post some images after my move into my new apartment is done.

I got mine yesterday. Been busy so I haven't opened them yet but came in what looks like a new box. I'll go out and open them shortly

Just received my DCK283D2R kit. Tools came loose in a brown shipping box, look very used, but functional. I am disappointed though to see the batteries are used. From the looks of the listing the tools were described as reconditioned, but not the batteries. Not sure if I will keep it.

Yep, usually refurbished is just store returns. And they have a reputation to uphold. Every refurb'd tool I ever bought (reputable sources like CPO, Woot!, Blinq, ebay sellers) was indistinguishable from brand new. The ebay seller I bought off of is the one who uses the attractive female model in the pics -- holding the tool.

Heavily scratched and dented tools hopefully would end up in a scratch and dent sale and not passed off as refur'd.

I love all my DeWalt tools. Never have let me down.

I bought a DeWalt refurb a long time ago and it was fine. Do they still brand them with an S, for factory service unit?

The tools and batteries are marked with an "R".

The DCK283D2 kit must not be as new as thought. Both of my tools and both of my batteries are marked 2015.
