Bought an 820 to restore, but it looks so nice just the way it is, all original, I'm not going to mess with it. Even has a swivel base, which I don't see very often. Jaws are near perfect, everything thing about it is so nice as it is, leaving it alone. Nice patina. Will tear it apart and clean inside and re-grease, but that's it for this one.

Looks just like mine, yours might have a touch more paint but mine has a little bit of the sticker left. Does yours have a date on the slide? Take a picture of the bottom of the swivel base please too!

Slide date is 6-53. Here is a pic of the bottom:

Little bit of felt on the bottom so it doesn't scratch my table....

Damn is that in nice condition. Personally I don't see the value of leaving it as is, but I also don't blame you either. If it were me she'd look brand new when I got finish

But congrats on getting such a pristine unit.

Kudos to you for keeping the original paint. My 935 is in identical condition as yours. I even kept the garage sale price sticker on mine and smile every time I see it.

The baby belonged to my dad. I repainted that probably 30 years ago before I knew better.

Thanks, that pic of the baby is interesting. Been wondering if Wilton used phillips head screws on the horseshoe washers of the babies, and yours has them. I picked up one with them as well, and thought maybe they weren't original. My others all have machine screws with flat blade slots...

Maybe a date thing? I'm not sure I ever checked the dates before today, but the spline on the baby is stamped 173 and the 935 is 11 51.
